I liked the idea that I could go to and fro as I pleased at any time

The staff were very helpful and made a tasty breakfast. They offered a lot of good advice on local things to see for travelers. Parking was free.

The shower was really poor. Hot and cold water changing all the time and the water pressure was not very good. The lighting was really, really dim and parking was tight.

The bedroom was very modern, very clean and bed very comfy. Ideal location

The staff could have been more friendly, also the walls were very thin and you could hear people next door and above. The description could have stated that that the car park only accomodates 5 cars. I wasn't happy about parking down the road from the hotel. There were notices everywhere saying don't do this and don't do that which was very off putting.

There were too many warnings, indeed. You can never feel yourself completely comforable with them.

cosy and clean B&B, central to Bowness and Windermere, very comfortable.

rather strict about using toilets after check out. would have been good to allow us to use the toilet once when we collected our bags in the afternoon.

Far too many guest notices - everywhere - we felt like intruders in this house. Only found out on departure (we were there for 2 days) that we could have had access to a pc to clear our emails.

Breakfast was nice, well cooked and plentiful

Greeting was off-hand, the room was small and stuffy, we had to walk sideways around the bed. There were no facilities for guests such as a guest lounge. Rules posted everywhere with threats of extra charges if you don't comply with them, the messages could be conveyed in a more friendly manner.

Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. Lovely room and the bathroom was obviously newly fitted so very nice.

I wouldn't have minded being able to check out a bit later!

Good location, comfortable rooms

There was a misunderstanding relating to the breakfast times although my wife and I made the mistake we arrived 15 minutes late. We were informed that the kitchen was closed and the result being a bacon sandwich or toast was offered. I felt that this was a poor alternative and building a good customer relationship and we were only staying the one night a breakfast could have been arranged

rather strict contactable business hours and hard to get a hold of the staff. no elevator for big luggage.

Proprietors were very pleasant and friendly - the man showed his several tricks with coins/corks etc, over breakfast which got guests talking and laughing. Also glad of complimentary leisure facilities nearby.

Basic bathroom with small shower and poor lighting. On second floor so many stairs.

room in need of redecoration. heating could have been on as evenings were still chilly in May.
