everything..the room, the toilet and the space
Rooms small not clean uncomfortable beds terrible smell if sewage and just one towel to dry your self no hand towel
The room was clean tidy staff helpful. Was ideal for what I was looking for. Only negative wifi only in the lobby
Lack of wifi
Friendly staff and excellent situation
Economy room smelt damp and only two small pots of milk. When asked for more we were told they had run out!
Children slept in a mezzanine level which was good, room clean, easy to find from Gloucster tube station. Good places to eat near hotel.
We were in room 106 and at 11pm music started playing and didn't finish until 12.30pm so could not get to sleep not great after a full day sight seeing. It then started again at 8.00am the following day. No hairdryer in room but asked reception and did lend me one.
Cheap and good to crash, not a room you'd want to hang out in. Sainburys and lots of restaurants etc in area. Clean
Cupboard size room. No taller than 5'7 can fit in bed. Bathroom tiny too.
I've never seen a room that is so small. The bathroom also didn't smell well, since they didn't have a ventilation.
Very friendly hotel in a great location
- the bathroom - the staff - the cleanliness - luggage is locked up by the staff themselves, they take you to the locked cupboards
- you hear anything that happens next door or in the corridor - no wifi in the rooms, and when you go get it at reception, it often breaks down or is very slow - you have to borrow a hairdryer from reception - in our double room, the bed was stuck to the wall... - the view from the bedroom window
I liked that the Hotel room had a balcony/terrace as the room was small and this gave you an outside space. The room was modern and clean enough for the price.
The balcony terrace was full of litter - needs to be swept regularly. Also, there is no bar facility.
Staff is very helpful and friendly Good location
The single rooms are ridiculously small and stuffy. I was on the verge of suffocation (it was really hot and some don't even have windows!!). The double rooms are much better though. The comfort of the rooms should be upgraded, especially the bathrooms (they smell and are tiny). The rooms are not isolated properly so didn't manage to sleep well the first night due to a noisy bunch of young people in the adjacent room. Overall, the hotel gives a hospital feel (smell and interior design) which is a shame considering its location!
excellent location for open top tour bus, tube station, natural history museum, hyde park Diana's memorial fountain all within easy walking distance
The washbasin in the economy twin was very small and shallow. The bathroom was clean and the shower good. I found it easier to shower and just use the wash basin to shave and for hand washing
The key card not working and having to wait each time at the unstaffed reception for someone to appear to get the key to get entry to the room. Asked for a quiet room but don't think a room at the front could be described as that. Couldn't get all the lights to switch off at the same time, had to take the card out of the power socket to get them all to switch off.
Close to Gloucester Station Close to Museums
Location is best. Area is safe.
Room could have been a little bit larger.
We stayed in a family room, but it was still quite tight, especially the bathroom. We were never given a bath mat, and the water from the tub leaked onto the floor, making a mess. We were only given one (small, old) towel per person, so had to ask each night for an extra towel to mop up the floor. One night, there weren't any extra towels. We also experienced hot weather and without air conditioning, we had to open the windows at night. The street is loud, and we smelled a lot of smoke (either from a guest room, or from the 1st floor), which we didn't appreciate. The breakfast wasn't worth the money. However, London is pricey, and this was all we could afford. Just know what you are getting yourself into: hot, stuffy, small rooms with no amenities (including decent towels).
we booker a triple room, and the room size is good, and the staff is helpful and friendly
no air conditioner, it is a bit too warm in summer.
No air con means the rooms are just too hot at night.
Room so small that is is depressing. Steep stairs to the room. To expensive.
Close to tube station and food resources, such as restuarants and grocery stores.
No wi-fi in room and very rarely worked in "communal" lobby, rooms were very loud, hotel layout was also quite confusing.
Nice breakfast, clean facility, excellent location.
Very, very small room on the ground level with a window that opened to a dark air shaft where pidgeons were trapped, flapping their wings all night long in desperate attempts to escape. Myself, I am tall and if I wanted to sleep flat on my back, my head was touching one wall and my feet were touching the other wall. I felt almost as emprisoned in the room as the desperate pidgeons in the air shaft. The personnel were not able to change the room for me. :(
Close to Natural History museum and Science Museum. Can walk into centre for Houses of Parliament etc. Quiet at night.
Air conditioning didn't work but there was a very quiet fan. This was on a hot day.
Location is excellent, very close to tube and bus. Glucester road station is 5 min. walk has district and circle lines but picadilly line is off temporary until Dec. walking distance to natural history, victoria and albert and science museums. Great area with supermarkets and dinings, so safe at night. Very clean new bathroom and room cleaned every day. There are coffee and tea facilities in the room. Large room and bathroom, staff are helpful. WiFi in the lobby.
No refrigerator. Not working air cond. the room is too hot at summer so you need to open the window. ask also for a fan at about 10 am when checking out guests leave. We were given the room 105 at first night very big unique and interesting design it is 2 floors with wooden ladder inbetween it will be lovely in winter but unfortunately it was July, the window is not fully opened because of the renovation work and in the back with poorly ventilated narrow place so we were suffocated at night we asked for a change and we took another room that was smaller but very well ventilated. the lady in the reception was very helpful she moved our bags to the other room when we are outside after asking us to pack them before leaving.
Bed Broken TV A/C Broken Staff inconsiderate I'm not a picky person, and we chose this hotel because of price, but it was easily the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. On a busy street so you hear sirens all night. A/C didn't work as advertised, and then they expected us to pay 10 pounds for breakfast. Wifi only in reception area. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere. Moral of the story, you get what you pay for!
