Noise , small room , elevator
Clean and tidy
Proximity to the train station.
Hotel need to be renovated and air con need to be repaired.
We thought the bathroom was lovely, and every thing was very clean, the amount of plug sockets and location of them were good. Pleasantly suprised with the size of the bed.
The bed was only two singles pushed together and fell apart when you moved, the pillows were very thin and was only one each.
The room was at the 5th floor . The lift worked up to the third floor. The twin bedded room weas made of a single bed. The breakfast was of poor quality. The internet was accessibile only from the lounge.
Too small, not cleaning every day, staff rude, no internet in rooms, no room service, bad experience!
Efficient, friendly and good location
The smallest room I have ever stayed in!
Bathrooms were nicely done
We first arrived and were put in a basement room that was tiny and stunk of smoke. There was a member of staff who was actually smoking in the basement. We asked to move and were then put in a ground floor room but when we opened the door there was two men in there doing work on the room so we'd had enough by this point after our long journey. Staff spoke little English which was very helpful. Our final room we settled with because we just wanted to try and enjoy our stay but the walls were very thin and we awoke on the first morning to an employee trying to get into our room. Hotel was very loud (due to staff) and very unprofessional.
Its location on major tube and bus routes makes it quick to get to many tourist attractions. Great to be close to so many museums and lots of places to eat close by.
Lounge area not big and bedrooms small so not easy to relax or socialise at hotel. No WiFi in rooms.
Location was not too far away from tube It made a great base It's was clean and tidy. Ok. It's not the ritz. But your paying a fair price for fair accomodation
It was ok. Nothing to complain about in our experience
Cleanliness, staff, breakfast
Staff were friendly. Great location
Broken bed. Dirty towels. No kettle for duration of stay, despite asking. Breach of fire regulations!!!
good value for money for short stay, one or two nights. room a bit compact for a longer stay with luggage
beds were comfortable but pillows were very thin and unsupportive
The one thing I must say that I liked about this hotel is the friendliness of the cockroaches who live there, they have no problem clambering into bed with you or sharing your shower! And if you fancy a midnight snack you can be sure they will be there waiting!
Staff were so rude and arrogant! Even one of them sarcastically whispered I should remove all the cockroaches from the room myself! Bare in mind I have paid out a lot of money to stay here and now I'm going to give them some free pest control? I don't think so. Cardboard boxes thrown outside my window gathering mould/ bugs and whatever else they had on them! Please do not stay here even if a few reviews say it's ok, if you value your own welfare. This is a no go!!!!
where should i start? -shower was broken -we had to search for an electrical heater! because the aircondition didnt work. -there was a funny smell in the bathroom -room was cold and uncleaned when we arrived (which was 7pm) -breakfast was horrible and expensive -the elvevator!!!!!!! no go!
Easily accessible in an extremely central location. Clean & pleasant hotel for the price!
Only downside was the size of the room. We booked a superior double which was tiny in relation to the pictures online so think a normal double room must have no walk space around bed!
When we arrived at 2am after a delayed flight we were given the key to a family room..this was in the basement where all the laundry and cleaning service were..had to walk over bags of laundry to get there..room paint chipped off all walls..leak in ceiling in bathroom..no hairdryer or any services...under beds dirty...horrendous..not worth even a one star!
size of the room
40 pounds for a room consisting of a bed and a shower with very little space between them, located close to a tube station in the centre of London is - realistically speaking - a fair value for money. Not all facilities in a room were in good condition (e.g. some electric sockets not working), walls were rather thin so you could hear what was going on in your neighbours' rooms, cleanliness was acceptable although it would be nice to improve on that. But if you are only looking for a place to sleep and are not particularly fussy, that's could be an option (especially bearing in mind that London is rather excessive hotel price-wise).
The girls at the reception are very helpful and kind. A big plus for them! The rooms are quite new and with private bathrooms.
The existing windows need to be changed for better ones, as the street is very noisy. No wifi in the rooms.
Very good conection with center of London
The room was tiny with no mattrass protector on bed, only sheet. The carpet had large dark stains (blood?) next to bed. The walls had chunks of plaster missing. The cistern on toilet was not functioning and water was running all night.
Problemfree check in and out. No complaints, as I got what I paid for... Don't think I will return, though.
They claim to be close to the shoppings streets. They're not! You could check the map, of course. I trusted the reviews. Luckily, I had an Oyster card, and the underground was "just" a 300 meter walk. The walls are wafer thin. When they say "single", they mean it. The room was about four square meters. The bathroom was spacious compared! Når de sier enkeltrom, så mener de enkeltrom. Ca 4 kvm. Badet var faktisk enormt romslig i forhold.
Great value for money, room was great and would defiantly say again
Nothing I had made a mistake in booking that hotel as I took a wrong zone of London in relation to where I has to be the morning after. I ased for a last minute cancellation that they has the right to refuse and they did. The problem was the way they did it. A) it was a true mistake, I went myself in person to exponent a proposed a 50 pct penalty fee that they refused B ) at the same time they were tellin me and other guest that hotels in the area were fully booked any that it would be difficult to find a place to stay last minute, in that case why were they so inflexible on my proposal as they could have rented with high probability to someone else c) staff clearly untrained, too young, cheaply paid, unable to take any constructive initiatives at the risk to get fired d) dirty entrance that even if I had the intention to stay there I would have gone away
