Nice room. Friendly staff. Good breakfast.
Sleep disturbed by noise from bar below. On Main Street so lots of traffic noise
Really helpful staff, very polite , nice room ,spotlessly clean
Breakfast was superb. Location very central. Staff very attentive. Room fitments etc fine.
Room 6 was obviously connected via wall to the extraction unit, which vibrated through the wall and along the bed headboard, for quite late into the night and then seemed to start up again at 7am. I slept head-to toe! Maybe a room change-around if possible?
Everything. We were celebrating our anniversary and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you to everyone
the room was great , staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was great...
the only downside was the noise from downstairs ...
Good ambience. Quaint
Noisy traffic, church bells and pedestrians
We found the people there to be extremely kind and helpful and accomodating.
Our room overlooked the street, and with the windows open at night, it was very loud from cars, rtucks, and people walking by. Also, shower did not drain as quick as water came out from shower, so it backed up every time.
Nice room, excellent breakfast, friendly staff. Great location
Helpful, friendly staff. Central location
The room was next to the terrace which was a bit noisy but only until 11ish.
noise at night
Very warm welcome and lovely food
Good atmosphere, excellent evening meals and very friendly staff
Room noisy at night
i loved the cromwell hotel because i love old buildings with character the place was lovely and clean we had the room with the four poster bed it was great ,the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was fantastic the bar downstairs was good with a good selections of beer andwines
i cant really say that there was anything i disliked
Great location, extremely friendly and helpful staff, good food and lovely clean rooms
Hotel in good location and room was spotless
Room 6 was very noisy as over the kitchen and the extractor fan. Also it was unbelievably hot and we needed the fan on constantly despite the weather outside not being warm at all.
best breakfast we've had in UK, a true english without mounds of beans and browns
Noise from main thorough fare -out of hotel's control
Traditional pub downstairs that served good ale and food. Staff nice and friendly, generally good service. Traditional English breakfast good quality.
Small rooms with uneven floors. Not as clean as should have been expected. Very noisy early hours of the morning with dust carts working on the main road outside.
I like the atmosphere, the old wooden structure and modern facilities inside. Breakfast was excellent, full English breakfast and delicious dinner. Downstair's a pub and good music in the evening.
The location is a great base, the patio area nice surprise, the food and drink in the bar lovely, the breakfast was amazing!
We stayed in room 6, so above the kitchen and next to the patio area. As we weren't in the room and it was a cool evening not a problem but I would imagine a nightmare in hot weather! There was a fan in the wardrobe to use if needed. The room was basic and a bit dated but great for the money - the bed was sooooo comfy!
Good location for town centre etc
Lack of parking. Loud music from the bar below
could hear other rooms clearly!!
everything about our stay
Good location right in the heart of Shrewsbury with plenty of character. Friendly and welcoming staff. Comfortable four poster bed and pleasantly decorated bedroom. Excellent dinner in the wine bar after a drink in the delightful courtyard garden. Our second visit and I hope we will come again.
The shower room was a little 'tired', though the shower worked well.
Staff could not do enough for us - so friendly and helpful and made our stay very enjoyable!
