Staff were very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Room excellent as was breakfast. Bar service also excellent. Would recommend to anyone
Bed room good, as long as you don't mind uneven floors, which we like. Staff friendly and helpful
Food a bit expensive in bar but it is Christmas
Staff very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Bar/ restaurant was delightful, fabulous atmosphere, fabulous food and very reasonable in price. Superb location. Very traditional inn - bedroom very spacious and very clean. We had a brilliant time.
We were staying the night as it was the office Christmas meal. Comfortable room with all the amenities you would expect for the great price paid. Food was excellent - even though they were catering for over 30, the meal was one of the best christmas meals we have had. Nice fresh cooked breakfast in the morning. Would stay here again.
Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Good bar and food. Good value for money. Would definitely recommend
No faults at all
Very enjoyable stay , lovely old building , staff very friendly , definitely stay there again
Location, staff, breakfast, everything made easy. Lovely and warm.
The room door didn't seem 100% secure. No bath
Great place to stay
Noise from bar - wanted an earlier night as had been travelling all day and had early start next day - being old building, ceiling of bar and floor of bedroom one and the same! Having said that the noise did stop at 11.30pm.
Friendly staff, old world charm, cosy bar and restaurant serving lovely food. Excellent location for exploring old Shrewsbury.
Room 5 is above the bar and looks over the patio and it was a bit noisy when we first went up to bed? We thought it might keep us awake.... But it didn't
Very clean best breakfast great staff
Just some bar noise came through to bedroom
Extractor fan noise until late. Problem with hot water.
lovely building, very helpful and friendly staff, breakfast was excellent. We only stayed one night, room was comfortable and bed linen clean.
There were cobwebs in the room and the top of the four poster bed had clearly not been cleaned for a very long time! The shower also did not work, but as we were leaving that morning did not complain and had a stripped wash, but did mention to staff when we checked out.
The hotel is in a charming sixteenth century pub in a lovely street in the old centre of the town. The staff make you very welcome and the place has good atmosphere. I would stay there again!
Friendly staff and location
location, room, breakfast, staff
nearest car park (NCP) had 2, 4, or 24 hour ticket options. Would be more flexible if there was a 12 hour option also.
The staff were very friendly & the food in pub was fab
Rooms really tired and this room was an upgrade could do with a lick of paint I. Bathroom & new throw on bed ( or dont have 1 at all) looked bad
Excellent service from the staff. Friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Food was very good.
This hotel is closing the b&b service in january and concentrating on the catering side. If they were to keep the beds then the bedrooms would need to be upgraded.
The staff were really nice & the building was 500 years old with squeaky floors which added character to the building. Also a great location to sight see.
Staff Lovely surroundings Characterful place Delicious food
Quite noisy till late, but this didn't bother us, we were tired from walking around beautiful Shrewsbury
The staff were attentive and friendly, they couldn't have been more helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the food was excellent. Had an amazing time.
Few things in the bathroom need to be fixed e.g shower handle and blind. Mattress was too soft for me.
the breakfast was very good so was the coffee best we have had for a long time
the very small tv in the bedroom
