Location was ideal, breakfast was good , restaurant food very good ,
The location to town was ideal. The staff in the bar were brilliant. The place had a very homely feel to it. Food was delicious. Looking forward to going back.
Staff made you very welcome, very cosy room.
Very noisy in the morning from traffic
Friendly and helpful staff.
Trouble with wi fi.
Having instant hot water in the commodious shower was wonderful. I loved the friendly staff, their welcoming attitudes, and the almost instantaneous delivery of a great breakfast which included black pudding, a rarity these days.
Not knowing that I hadn't paid when I booked; not being able to add my bar bill to the overall bill; not being able to complain about anything else.
The staff where friendly and amazing, nothing was too much trouble Bedroom was amazing with a great 4 poster bed
Good Location. Excellent breakfast.
No seating area as stated when booking. Noisy.
Friendliness of staff Breakfast facilities Ambience
No concession for car parking. Traffic noise at night.
Warm welcome and all staff were friendly. Breakfast was great and all round good value for money.
Arrived back to the Inn before 10pm and was surprised that the bar was closed so early! Kettle socket by kettle did not work but used one six foot up behind the television on the wall! However still managed to have a tea !!
We had a lovely stay here for valentines night and gorgeous meal had the best room well worth the money and booked up again for 2nts August. Friendly staff just lovely stay in a lovely town.
Cromwells has a great town location everything is in walking distance. Lovely breakfast and staff were very welcoming.
Very noisey in the morning from outside from 6am, aswel as noise from morning staff due to thin floors.
Warm welcome when we arrived, assistance with our luggage was unexpected but thoughtful, advice on car parking was very good. Very accommodating as regards booking into restaurant, staff very friendly and good hosts, very cosy, warm and friendly atmosphere.
There were small negatives but the positives outweighed this so there is nothing really to dislike.
Bar closed at 10.0pm.
From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and even though we were situated above the bar area, the noise was not annoying or inconvenient. The food was excellent, and really nicely presented.
The fact we were only there for 1 night. Would not hesitate in staying there again and recommending it.
Bar staff and restaurant were good
The bed had a terrible sag in the middle and was a little short
Very warm welcome on arrival and in bar/restaurant etc. lovely room, very good food and good value for money. Nice atmosphere.
Only fault was the amount of traffic noise audible in the room, but it was a town centre hotel!!
Located a minute or two from the town centre.Very friendly, helpful staff.Nice clean room. Superb breakfast.
Great central location
Room 2 is directly above the main bar and is very noisy. Shower cubicle could have been cleaner. Room was cleanish and tidy but ceiling light fitting had obviously not been dusted for some time and the odd cobweb in the corners of the room added to the quaintness of the old timber beams !! There are no staff on the premises overnight - telephone numbers are provided to summons members of staff (within 15 mins) in case of an emergency.
We really enjoyed our stay comfortable and cosy just what we needed
breakfast was good, location good
very small room, very noisy
breakfast!! helpful, friendly, welcoming staff.. 'MIND YOUR HEAD' signs ;o) it's history, furniture.... location was great but parking could be a concern for some - we, on advice of staff member, used NCP which was not too far away - no real problem.... we were able to leave our suitcases, guitar, etc in the hotel, after we'd booked out, whilst we had a hugely pleasant day exploring Shrewsbury!
er..............water was a bit too hot!!
Superb service and really friendly
In a prime location in town and the inn was old and quirky. The breakfast was the best we have had anywhere and was all local produce.
The road was very noisy through the night with loud drunken girls/boys. The room was like a glorified closet it was so small. The bathroom was too small to dry yourself with the door shut and the shower door only half opened as it crashed into sink. The bed and pillows where hard and the noise from the bar below was unbearable until we told them to quieten it down at 12.20am. Then the cleaners started approx 6.30am scraping chairs about on flagged bar floor making it unable to sleep.
