The staff were very friendly & the food in pub was fab
Rooms really tired and this room was an upgrade could do with a lick of paint I. Bathroom & new throw on bed ( or dont have 1 at all) looked bad
Excellent service from the staff. Friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Food was very good.
This hotel is closing the b&b service in january and concentrating on the catering side. If they were to keep the beds then the bedrooms would need to be upgraded.
The staff were really nice & the building was 500 years old with squeaky floors which added character to the building. Also a great location to sight see.
Staff Lovely surroundings Characterful place Delicious food
Quite noisy till late, but this didn't bother us, we were tired from walking around beautiful Shrewsbury
The staff were attentive and friendly, they couldn't have been more helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the food was excellent. Had an amazing time.
Few things in the bathroom need to be fixed e.g shower handle and blind. Mattress was too soft for me.
the breakfast was very good so was the coffee best we have had for a long time
the very small tv in the bedroom
Great room lovely food, helpful staff we really enjoyed our stay and will recommend this hotel we hope to stay again when next in Shrewsbury
The building. The location. The room. The food was amazing. The Staff were excellent friendly polite very helpful and informative couldn't and would'nt fault them sooooooooooooooo happy with our choice and will definately book whenever we come to Shrewsabury in the future. Wouldn't stay anywhere else !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't be silly it was BRILLIANT !!!!!!!!!!!!
Poor breakfast...uncomfortable bed..noisy room(2nd room...1st was worse)
Pleasant staff. But this was not a hotel more rooms above the inn with no reception or staff available overnight.
On main road so traffic noise a real problem. Room very hot but had to keep windows shut due to traffic. Stayed in room 5 with large 4 poster. Bed looked impressive but very hard and uncomfortable. Same key opens front door as well as room door so wonder if all rooms could be opened with the same key? Staff not on site at night. Rickety floorboards - an old property so to be expected. Breakfast was a big let down. Only offered full English so asked for scrambled eggs and bacon. The eggs were just the fried eggs they'd already cooked scrambled up - unbeatable. Bread only toasted on one side. All staff pleasant but wouldn't stay here again.
Some noise in the eveming
The hotel was conveniently located for shopping and the Theatre Severn. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food served at breakfast was good quality. The room was small but clean and pleasant. Tea and coffee was provided in the room.
The room was at the front of the hotel and there was some traffic noise.out 6This wasn'ta problem as the rooms are double glazed. What was a problem was the arrival of housekeeping staff and workmen from about 6.30am and the subsequent slamming of doors. This could be a one off but would put me off returning
The service throughout our stay was faultless. Would definitely stay again. We ate there in the evening and the following day for breakfast and the food was lovely. The hotel restaurant and bar was busy and had a great atmosphere.
We booked three of the rooms. It didn't bother us but one of the rooms was over the bar and was noisy until midnight.
Every minute of our stay was superb. Especially the food in the lovely little restaurant which was excellent
Staff made us a lovely hot breakfast sandwich because we had to rush off in the morning. We didn't ask for this, they made the offer which was so lovely of them. Excellent sandwich too.
close to town very clean and good food well worth the price and defiantly stop again.
Hotel was very clean and tidy, room 5 has a four poster bed worth paying the extra for , Breakfast was excellent .
Personally I would remove the shower and the cubical wall and fit a free standing bath. But what a fantastic time we had, thank you all .
Excellent service Great food Very welcome
Long walk to car parking
Room Breakfast Beers Locality
Car Parking a little inconvenient

really noisy room, a lot of noise from moving of chairs very early then a six oclock visit to clear the bottles but will still come back
location good. when we arrived we were told they did'nt have the room . the staff were very nice and found us a room in a b&b up the road
need to keep the system upto date
everything except... The age and fascination of the place; but an excellent modernisation without spoiling the essential character
Where to park my car; sent to NCP car park which gaqve us problems, unconnected with the hotel
convenient,friendly and comfortable
