There is a choice of restaurants and banqueting/conference facilities. With ample parking and our location just to the south of Kendal, near junction 36 of the M6; we are ideally located for visitors to the lakes or Yorkshire Dales.

Food & beverage

Breakfast is served from 07:30 until 09:30.
Lunch is served from 12:00 until 14:00.
Dinner is served from 18:00 until 21:00.

At Crooklands Hotel we have 30 en suite bedrooms available, 14 of which are twin bedded rooms and the remaining 16 are double rooms. We have a number of superior rooms available, which are larger rooms complete with a trouser press, larger TV and larger bathrooms.
Many of the rooms have recently been modernised to a very high standard.

Area information

Being situated just a mile from the M6 motorway, the Crooklands Hotel, in the hamlet of Crooklands overlooking the Lancaster Canal, is ideally situated for use as a base by those wishing to explore both Cumbria, the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. The bustling market town of Kendal is just a few miles away, Lake Windermere is around 15 miles away and the picturesque village of Ambleside is approximately 20 miles from the hotel.

The hotel is also well placed for those looking to stopover on route to Scotland, as Glasgow can be reached within a 2 hour drive of the hotel, which would quite nicely break up a long journey.

There is a host of things to see in Cumbria including well known lakes such as Ullswater, Windermere, Derwentwater and Coniston. Famous mountains include Skiddaw, Scafell, Helvellyn, Coniston Old Man and Great Gable to name just a few. For those exploring by car you will find a number of stunning mountain passes to sample including Kirkstone, Wrynose and Hardknott, all of which offer superb views.

The area offers endless activities from walking and cycling to fishing and horse riding. For those visitors wishing to play golf you will find a number of excellent courses within easy reach of the hotel including Kendal, Grange-over-Sands, Windermere and Kirkby Lonsdale.

The hotel is located just off junction 36 of the M6.

Travelling North:
- Exit the M6 at junction 36 and take the 3rd exit from roundabout, signposted A65, Kirkby Lonsdale.
- At next roundabout take 1st exit signposted Crooklands. The hotel is one mile down this road on the right-hand side.

Traveling South:
- Exit the M6 at junction 36 and take the 1st exit from roundabout, signposted A65, Kirkby Lonsdale.
