Breakfast, very good , ben very good host
the host is one of loveliest we have ever met. an ecxellent cook and patient with kids. The farmhouse is old and beautifull, well kept and high standart of beds, showers and food. Highly recomended! we are deffinatly coming back.
the lounge needs a good dusting...
Attractive, characterful house, not bland or sanitised as so many places are these days. Nice to have room and bathroom set apart from other rooms. Good sized bathroom with separate shower and bath. Welcoming and friendly hosts. Good location and very nice pub down the road with good value pub grub. We would stay there again.
Pity we had to have an early start and therefore couldn't be offered a full English breakfast as I am sure it would have been good. Plumbing a bit of a problem and light in the shower a bit dodgy. It would have been nice to have a really comfy chair to sit on in the bedroom but bed was good which is the most important thing.
Beautiful, comfortable bed and rooms. Very friendly, energetic, and cheerful service.
Service, quietness and comfort. Eager to please for breakfast good cooked selection. Good bathroom. Friendly
Bit scruffy on the outside and bedroom a bit cramped. Not a great selection of cereals and all cheap brands.
at arrival we were told we had no booking because they had only one night available, not 2 as requested. Booking.com had overbooked us in the confirmation email. Owners kindly helped us by letting us stay I night, and asked booking.com to find us another place for second night. This was duly done (at Lythe Hill Hotel & Spa).
Surprise at not having real booking as requested
Very welcoming hosts and extremely comfortable room. Best smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on toast I've tasted in a very long time!
We had the family room that had a separate room for the kids, a large bath/shower, and attic, luxurious room. The historical feeling of this 600 year old farm was amazing. Listening to birds and horses each morning was an added bonus. The facilities and landscape are beautiful. And hosts Ben and Penny were awesome. Ben is very very sweet and funny!
I travelled with my partner and three boys. We had a family suite which consisted of a twin bedroom on the lower floor next door to the modern bathroom and then upstairs a large and spacious loft room with a double and single bed. Homely, very clean, loads of character. Our host (Ben, I think!) was warm, friendly, interesting to talk to and did us a mean breakfast in the morning. We found a great pub (White Horse) on the road from Romsey through to Winchester which served terrific food in the evening. Loved being next to the farm. Kids had a great time. No downsides at all, money well spent.
Quiet location. Excellent bathroom. Excellent breakfast. Very attentive staff.
Double bedroom tiny, with well worn (tatty) furniture. Windows dirty, many cobwebs. Washing on lines at front/side of farmhouse creates a very bad impression on arrival.
Everything, very cosy and Ben was a great host and really lovely, he had a lot of time for his guests which was greatly appreciated.
Myself , my husband and our 4 children aged 1,5,6 and 10 stayed for one night and it was lovely. We had and upstairs and downstairs to the end of the house which was plenty if room for all of us . Bathroom was new looking and the shower was lovely . We love history so this was a beautiful place for us. Only sound heard in the night was sheep and an occasionall horse ( bliss !)
Lack of light inside.
Ben was very friendly, helpful and always had a nice smile on his face. The breakfast joice was amazing!
It is difficult to find, also with a navigation system.
friendly, very helpful. freshly cooked breakfast with many choices. comfortable rooms with large bathroom/shower
nothing, however sat nav directed us down long narrow lane
You feel very at home during your stay. Beautiful residence. Staff is very kind and helpfull.
Tomtom doesn't point at the right place, but friendly neighbours will help. Two of the three roads leading to residence are not so suitible for motorbikes and also the parking on the gravel was a bit tricky.
very old excellent bathroom pleasant & helpful host good location
The host Ben was a fun and affable person for whom nothing was too much bother. For our purpose the location was great. Our room was comfortable and quiet. Two country pubs were close by and the lovely village of Romsey just a few miles away.
Extremely friendly. Charming old farmhouse. Breakfast very well prepared. A great experience all around.
Friendly welcome and excellent well cooked breakfast with lots of choice.. Nothing was too much trouble and we never wanted for anything. A very pleasant and relaxing stay.
Friendly welcome. Nothing too much trouble.
Loved the character and beautiful setting of this place. It was a wonderful place to spend our first night on our European vacation! The breakfast was fantastic too!
Great staff good breakfast The quiet
We would describe it as quaint, it looks run down from the outside the roof is peeling and the garden was unkempt. However you cannot fault the overnight experience
Peaceful and quiet with excellent breakfast
Felt cold and damp, but wasn't, but needed the electric radiator as central heating was off
Quiet country location slept like a log
