The owners were very welcoming Breakfast was lovely Would stay there again if visiting the area again.
Partner thought the bed was to soft, but I like a soft bed.
Lovely house in a beautiful, quiet little village but with the convenience of the Dovecote Inn just across the green for superb food. Our room was lovely, everything supplied including a tea-making tray. Breakfast was beautifully cooked and plenty of it. Our hosts were both very friendly and attentive. Had a great stay.
That we couldn't have stayed longer.
Breakfast really good, room comfy, great being opposite a reastaurant
So many nick nacks we had nowhere to put our stuff. Doyly city.
Roberta the owner was warm and welcoming and did everything possible to make us feel at home. Crosshill House itself is a wonderful old building full of character with wonderful gardens. The surrounding scenery is beautiful. All in all a bed and breakfast to be highly recommended.
Nothing to dislike
Everything was lovely and clean! The bed was comfy and the room was well equipped. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The garden is large and well kept with plenty of seating. The village pub The Dovecote opposite serves excellent meals if you book online you will also get 10 per cent discount!
There was nothing we did not like as this is a first class B and B!
Absolutely everything, lovely house, surroundings, village and warm welcome from the owners. Will stay again.
The cottage is very nice, with a high level of comfort. Roberta and her husband are very nice and friendly people. Good breakfast with fresh local products. Very good possibilities to make tours and visits. Nottingham, Newark and Sherwood Forest are all within 30 minutes of driving.
nothing at all
Could not fault. The owner was away but made arrangements for a wonderful lady to take care of us.
Friendly atmosphere. Comfortable bed and room.
Crosshill House is an outstanding gem of a B&B providing all the comforts of home and a breakfast menu that leaves you thoroughly spoilt for choice. We were made to feel very welcome by the owner, Roberta. Located in a quiet village, the B&B is complemented with a good pub across the road which serves excellent food in the evenings. We look forward to staying here again.
There was nothing we didn't like.
Roberta was a great host, she was friendly & helpful, giving us directions for our days out. The breakfast was A1 and Roberta telephoned the restaurant & booked us in for our evening meal; nothing was too much trouble. The bedding was beautiful & the beds very comfortable. We would highly recommend this B & B. We will certainly be visiting it again ourselves.
Location and property were lovely. The owners were a lovely couple. There are lots of nice little touches too. Hot water bottle in our room, in fact everything to make our stay pleasurable.would definitely go back
My pillow was a wee bit hard, but my pillows at home are so soft, so anything else would be noticeable.
The friendly welcome, all the little extras that made everything feel so welcoming and homely. The bed was comfy, the shower easy to use and everywhere was clean and tidy. The breakfast was excellent. All the attention to detail made our stay very special.
Just wished we had stayed longer!
Very nice stay. Particularly good breakfast with locally made black pudding. Pub over the road di an excellent evening meal. Would definitely stay here again
Once again we were warmly welcomed for our second visit in a month. The standard set from our previous stay was maintained with excellent service and good food. See my previous comment.
It was just the perfect place. Location, excellent food and good host and hostess. Nothing was too much effort. Just at the time we needed a quiet break Crosshill came along. Will definitely recommend it and certainly we will return.
A very welcoming guest house and the landlady was very polite and pleasant. The facilities and food were excellent. overall a great experience.
