Lovely, warm atmosphere and the owners are very helpful and accommodating. We took up all three rooms so it almost felt like it was our own house! Breakfast is delicious, with fresh and tasty ingredients for the English breakfast and a good selection of cereals, yogurts and cheese for the Continental. Rooms are spacious and have everything you need. Power shower is a great wake-up for the mornings. A very pleasant stay and we have now booked the remaining four weekends of our course there, nothing in the area can compare for comfort and price!
Great location , lovely rooms & very welcoming - nothing to find fault with - one of the best b&bs I've stayed in .
Total commitment by the owners to making everything as perfect as possible. Delicious breakfast with homemade bread and marmalade. Cosy and comfortable.
Closest place for evening meal is a very nice pub in the village. On the night I was there, in the middle of the week, it was so crowded I had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. That shows the pub's popularity but it may be worth asking the B&B to book a table for you in advance if you know you are going to eat there.
nice rooms, good breakfast, friendly service, nice location, very close to Bristol and shopping centres, am definitely coming back, brilliant value for money
nothing not to like
we arrived in the dark. Our satnav got us to the vicinity but the property had no sign to say we were stopped outside Crossover House. I knocked at a neighbour's home who helped me find the correct address. A well lit sign at the drive entrance is needed!

Room and Breakfast
The weather, but thats out of their hands.!
The fact that the hotel was closed when we arrived having made a reservation through booking.com, resulting in having to spend the evening searching for alternative accommodation.
The reception I got was excellent. The room and facilities (en Suite ect ) also excellent and spotlessly clean The village pub serves good food and is also friendly (The beer I tried was also good) Location - important to me as I was visiting a customer a mile or so away, whilst the Hilton is closer its also more than double the cost and very "un-personable"
Nothing I really didn't like at all.
Very welcoming and friendly couple in a nice location. Excellent english breakfast with home-made bread and marmalade. Highly recomended
Very Clean with good facilities and a great night's sleep. Excellent value for money and would highly recommend.
The landlady welcomed us warmly and showed us to our three separate rooms. My room were spacious, very clean, tastefully decorated with a nice ensuite bathroom with shower cubicle. The tea and coffee tray was well stocked with good quality products as well as some biscuits, hot chocolate and Horlicks. In the bathroom there was luxury soap, liquid hand soap and liquid soap in the shower cubicle. It also had a squeegee and I found myself having great fun cleaning the glass shower door with it after my morning shower! On arrival we had been asked to fill out a form for either an English or continental breakfast. I chose English with regular coffee to be served at 8:15. We went out for a meal in the evening at the Bowl Inn which is within walking distance along quaint narrow streets. The breakfast room was lovely and the table laid with nice cutlery and dishware. The orange juice was of superior quality as were the bacon, sausages, mushrooms, tomatoes all served by the landlord who was most amenable and helpful. The brown bread was homemade as was the delicious orange marmalade. So, for the price it was excellent value and the owners are doing a great job - well done!
The sat nav took us down a steep single lane (The Scoop) which looks like it could be tricky in the winter. But there is another way to get there via a much wider road. The coffee was my only real disappointment. It was served in a cafetiere but was really weak and see-through. It did nothing for me and I had to get one after we left to wake me up. We are booked in again mid December for another part of our course on counselling children and young people at the Network Training centre in Bradley Stoke and I shall definitely request a coffee with more 'volume'!
We were pleased with everything.
We can not identify anything we did not like.
We were made very welcome as we arrived. We had difficulty finding Lower Almondsbury as the approach to the village was poorly signed. The room was well set out and the bed extremelycomfortable. The breakfast was excellent and we were not rushed. If we are in the area again we will certainly come back.
I liked the personal and friendly service. Breakfast was very generous and made to order. My ensuite bathroom was modern and clean and the bed I had was comfortable.
I would only suggest an update of the bed linens as they seem worn a little, but other than that, fabulous value.
The very nice area, clean room, marviolous view...
Friendly and helpful hosts and we spent a restful 2 nights here. It's a peaceful location despite being a short distance to motorways and the northern edge of the city.
We had one meal at the local pub which was OK but somewhat disappointing, having seen previous good reviews of it - perhaps we were just unlucky that day.
Very friendly couple running the hotel. Excellent cooked breakfast. Good location for business travelers operating in Filton (Airbus, MoD, etc). Nice location in village with good access. Very nice, clean interior and good en-suite bathrooms.
Slight difficulty finding hotel, however it was dark when I was looking for it and the staff where very helpful in directing me.
Location. Décor and room facilities Really good breakfast freshly cooked to order Parking fine
The picturesque village. The property The room, The food The people that ran it. But not necessarily in that order!
having to leave.
Cleanliness Fabulous shower and bathroom Very comfortable bed and bedding Beautiful garden Helpful owner (male) In village location Great pubs nearby with good food
Not a terribly warm welcome from the lady of the house - just sent straight to our rooms (she had probably just had a bad day). Had to pay extra for a cooked breakfast (not a problem) Felt we had to be specific about time we were coming to breakfast.
The hosts enhanced the short stay by their hospitality and friendliness.
Some nice personal touches. Very friendly.
The hotel was quiet, spotless. Bed comfortable and warm. Breakfast good and plenty. Bathroom spotless. Easy to find. Good parking
