Situated in England's smallest cathedral city, The Swan provides excellent accommodations and hotel facilities. The Swan makes an ideal base for exploring Somerset.

A little way out of Wells down winding roads but situated in a very quiet village. It was very comfortable and clean.
Great breakfast. staff very friendly and obliging especially receptionist Kate and waitress lauren. We will stay there again when we pay a visit to Somerset. Crossways Hotel is very handy place to stay and see the popular sights of Somerset.
Everything available on site.
Beautiful views, quiet country side, close to attractions, large spa bath.
The bed was due for a new mattress.
Stayed here for 2days.Beautiful location.Very relaxing sitting in the terrace having a drink, beautiful view.Staff very friendly.Food was good.Room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable.Tea making facility, hair dryer. Will definetly come back again.
Says free Wifi but there was no signal in the room although there was a router.Only got Wifi on the terrace on second day.Signal in area is generally bad,so I was told.Dinner service was slow. Not enough staff.Service closes at 8.45
Great bedrooms and bar and terrace area and good food
Breakfast service was a bit unorganised but food was good. Hotel is miles from anywhere. Hotel seemed a little under staffed ( worked very hard)
Nice hotel, clean, welcoming and friendly. Good rooms nice bathroom
A pleasurable stay in a very comfortable hotel, exceptionally clean and very friendly staff and the food was excellent.
Well placed for site seeing, friendly staff, good food, comfortable rooms, quite relaxing location
Nothing not to like
Friendly service and stunning views
Charming location, friendly staff and very good value for money.
Internet access did not work.
very limited breakfast choice
Tucked away in the Somerset countryside it was a very nice find. Due to its location it was quiet an ideal place if you want to walk or explore the area. Rooms and facilities were a very good standard. I enjoyed my short stay and would return if I revisit the area.
we stayed in the Avalon suite, beautiful room with incredible bathroom and wonderful views> Meal in restaurant excellent and staff extremely friendly and helpful.
Most of the staff were friendly and we could park easily every time we came back to the hotel. Although the outside of the hotel wasn't much to look at, it was actually ok on the inside in the bar and restaurant area. We also had a field of sheep outside our bedroom window which was nice. It was fairly central to all of the places we visited, but avoid if you aren't comfortable driving in single track country roads.
The drains smelt really bad in the en-suite when we arrived, which stunk out the whole room, it was ok once we'd run the taps but still not a great welcome. I went to put some clothes away on a shelf and the bottom pair of jeans was absolutely covered in dust! Our bed was slightly downhill, and every time somebody opened a door our door rattled which meant we didn't sleep very well. Breakfast was ok, but at least one thing was wrong everyday of the four days we stayed. It's a shame really. If they made a few changes (like sort out rattling and slamming doors) and more attention to detail when cleaning it could've been a lot better.
the food was very good staff v friendly good shower
noisy at breakfast radio blaring small rooms bit shabby in places no phone reception accept nothing hotel can do about this wifi slow again hotel probably can't do much about this
Room was nice and comfortable evening meal was excellent ! Bar was shown as modern and contemporary but was empty and without any atmosphere
Breakfast was good but the breakfast room was soulless and without any atmosphere. Bar staff in the evening was no good served me a bottle of white wine in a chiller but the wine was warm and i sent it back. The replacement was dumped on my table unopened for me to serve myself. A bit of staff training i think !!!!
Very friendly and helpful staff, good quality food.
Very helpful & friendly staff Good views over to Glastonbury Tor Good location
Service at meal times was slow (~2 hours for 2 course dinner) - seemed to be under-staffed
Really friendly staff especially the receptionist, couldn't do enough for us. Great food we were really impressed . Great value for money.
Some of the décor is looking a bit tired but this didn't bother us.
Loved to food and decor. The staff were exceptionally friendly. Large selection for breakfast. Very clean too!
Water pressure issues along with a bit scruffy towels. Maybe could update towels.
Really nice helpful staff.
Ran out of hash browns and only half a piece of black pudding at breakfast!
I loved the room we got, 4 poster with a giant bathroom
The mattress felt like it needed replacing although my hubby thought it was fine so I may be just a bit fussy.
This hotel is clean and modern looking with fairly comfortable rooms but lacking a few things- ▪shower gel and liquid soap dispensers in room empty. ▪soap in room already used. ▪no real light in room, just lamps, the largest lamp didn't work. ▪staff were very friendly but there was not enough of them. 2 members of staff looking after the bar, restaurant and reception area. ▪ evening lunch was very good and fairly quick arriving. ▪breakfast was very small and was missing a few things mentioned on the menu, when I asked where the rest of the food was the reply was "its run out" no apology or offer of replacements. Needless to say my husband was very disappointed with a teaspoon of beans, one small slice of bacon and an average tasting sausage. I would stay here again as a last minute thing but there are a few clear staffing issues that need to be addressed.
Avalon Suite very impressive Bed large and very comfortable Bathroom superb great bath and shower and watching TV whilst in bath a bonus Bar area nice and terrace lovely to sit on with great views Breakfast was good and my husband said eggs benedict excellent. Waitress very helpful
Entrance from car park not very welcoming.
