I stayed at the hotel for one night and I was really pleased with the service. Nothing was too much trouble and I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. I will certainly use the hotel again.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was brilliant, very tidy and I had all I could ask for and then some. Terrific breakfast, did not try the restaurant nor bar, so I cannot say anything about it, The weather was poor when I was there, otherwise I most likely woulda sat in the garden for a bit. Very high value. I did not find any information about the hotel other than the emergency routines in the room. No local information other than the various booklets found in the hallway about places to go and tings to see. I wanted to double-check the checkout time but I ended up googling it, which was easily done since they offered free Wifi, which I was able to get even in the room. By adding some local information and a summary about the hotel, rules etc. it woulda been absolutely perfect. I went to Cuckmere for a long walk the next day, which was splendid, and very close to the hotel, that was something I found out about via other sources. That could be the sort of thing to the hotels personal tips.

Owner was very friendly. No food available on Sunday or Monday evenings, which we weren't aware of. Owner and wife do not employ a chef, so need time off.

Very friendly staff, lovely garden and small but comfortable room. As we were there on Monday, we were not able to sample the cuisine.Coffee and tea making facilities excellent, well stocked fridge with fresh milk. As Crossways is so close to a busy road the traffic noise is quite bad. shame, as the garden invites one to relax. At least at night it is fairly quiet, but starts again early in the morning.

“Deans Place is a lovely, friendly and comfortable hotel in a wonderful country village. The staff were friendly and helpful, there are fires in winter, and the stunning St Andrew's church is nearby.” Edward, Eastbourne |
