Very warm welcomewith a prompt offer to carry bags for us. Fresh milk in fridge for tea and coffee. Beautiful garden. Superbly cooked and presented food by owners with a passion for good ingredients and flavour. We loved the hot lettuce soup. trio of mini puddings and damson sorbet especially. We would certainly go again. We enjoyed the whole experience .Thanks

Very friendly. Room was comfortable and fresh milk in the fridge is a nice touch, so often overlooked. Superb breakfast (with a proper sugar bowl on the table - that attention to detail again) and a decent pot of tea. Didn't eat in the restaurant, so can't comment on that, but the quality of the breakfast is a good sign. On the main road and with a tricky exit, given that you have to get out into possibly heavy traffic. Overnight, the traffic diminishes, so noise wasn't a problem.

Staff extremely friendly and welcoming, particularly David, the owner. Room clean and very comfortable with range of toiletries provided and fridge with free real milk and a range if beverages if needed. Quiet location but easily accessible to Lewes and Eastbourne. Although on the A27, room at back was very quiet. Great gardens with good seating for summer evenings. Great breakfast and very accommodating when I need to leave in the morning before breakast is served, providing cereal and crockery/cutlery for me to eat only room. All-in-all a very friendly, well presented and quiet hotel in a great location. Nothing - it was great !

Very comfortable room lovely bed-enjoyed the fact there was a mini bar for water and fresh milk for coffee etc.Breakfast was good and the choice perfect not too many variations to confuse your morning meal.Staff friendly but not over bearing and clearly knew the right balance of conversation/information giving for their customers.

Very friendly and gets all the small detail right, fresh milk in the room etc Super breakfast, my friends raved about the beautiful dinner, so I will be trying for myself shortly. Over £140 for a single room ( even during the season)is top end pricing.

Our room was clean & comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The restaurant is very small and we weren't able to eat there on the Saturday night that we stayed in the hotel, which was disappointing.

For our trip Crossways Hotel was very conveniently located. The accommodation could not have been better with excellent attention to detail. The staff could not have been more attentive or prompt in their provision of friendly efficient service. The breakfast was totally in keeping with all other aspects of our short but most enjoyable stay - excellent.

Absolutely ideal for Glyndebourne. Despite being on main road it was very quiet. The waiting staff at breakfast were excellent as was breakfast. David, the owner and chef is clearly very involved. Was sad could not get into dinner, so book ahead.
