Charming English country hotel, set in picturesque Bosham, just 4 miles west of Chichester.
Score from 189 reviews Excellent
Very convenient for our visit to the theatre in Chichester. Nice and cosy with lots of hot water and a really comfy bed. Great towels and lots of them. Really good breakfast. Nice views over the woods. Perfect!
The room & bathroom were very clean & looked lovely. The staff were friendly but not all of them were experienced
The bath/shower arrangement was dreadful to use. I had to mop the floor with towels after using the shower! Not what I expect from a premium room. Restaurant was disappointing & several other diners were dissatisfied also.
Hotel is situated in open countryside with pleasant views from restaurant. Food is excellent and served with a smile. No problems car parking, plenty of space and is free.
You need to be alert when turning for Chichester out of car park.
High quality sta. ff Very good food Comfortable rooms Quietness
5 he menu did not change over 4days
Excellent breakfasts Plenty of parking space Easy access to rooms Overall good food with interchangeable menus Quiet rooms
The staff is very friendly and very relaxed with the guests.
Everything was great. The food was delicious, the staff helpful, friendly and professional. We will definitely be going again
Lack of facilities
Pretty good all round, very helpful and friendly staff, well equipped room and bathroom. Breakfast was really excellent, especially the French toast with Fruit salad and maple syrup!
Both we and the couple we travelled with found that the hot taps were installed back to front - it may not sound important but taps in England always turn on anti-clockwise and off clockwise. These were opposite which meant we kept forgetting and getting sprayed with scalding water!
check-in efficient staff helpful & attentive food in restaurant good room very clean & comfortable hotel in nice area
room quite small but ok for one night rooms in several outside locations so get wet going to main hotel walls between rooms thin
Traveled to Chichester for my daughter's wedding. The entire staff was wonderful--they could not have been more accommodating. From the initial reception to the bar men/ladies to the food in the restaurant. It was the mos t memorable hotel experiences that I have ever enjoyed. Superb!!
During the stay I discovered that I had left my iPod charger at home. I enquired at reception if the hotel had any facilities for charging and the receptionist actually lent me her own cable and plug. Above and beyond as far as I can see.
I have stayed many times at Crouchers Country Hotel, always stayed and had dinner at the restaurant. Excellent food and presentation. Plus a very good breakfast.
Can't really fault anything
Central position. Good restaurant and food. Very nice staff
Road outside property. Very noisy
The room Privacy of the outside terrace the restaurant
Room very comfortable
Bath not cleaned properly from previous occupant. Light and shaver socket in bathroom did not work. Reported both issues to reception after check in but no action taken.
Staff very friendly, room was clean and well-provided.
Quite susceptible to noise from other rooms unfortunately so not a great nights sleep.
Loved the rustic yet stylish, light and airy public rooms, the fields all around and the excellent restaurant. The food is modern, innovative and delicious. The staff were welcoming, helpful and attentive. A superbly smart place but very comfortable too.
Have stayed twice. First time our room was light, bright New England style with a lovely private patio with furniture, overlooking the fields. The second stay was very last minute and the room, though clean and comfortable was dark with dark furnishings and overlooked the car park. (Through a fence). It was a very warm night and the window when open let in the sound of the busy road and much to-ing and fro-ing to the outside door leading to the rest of the rooms. A fan or air conditioning would have been wonderful. We washed in cold water as the tap had to revolve through180 deg to give hot water. This meant we were soaked as it had to be full blast. The bathroom needed updating.
The staff the view from the patio and the sausages :-) & steaks :-) also proximity to Chichester & free parking
Not having a table on the patio & the fire alarm going off near midnight also no fridge in the room resulting in having to drink warm water :-(
This is one of those a bit out the way places, that you can really relax. And the staff, the service, the food and everything is just enjoyable. Stayed here several times, and will go back again. =)
Having to leave.....
Lack of air con or fans
No air conditioning. Small rooms.
Excellent breakfast Comfortable bed Nice patio
Not much positive to say
Poor food , cleanliness was not up to standard. Mattresses were old and sagged in the middle , wifi was awful . Just don't bother
