Crown Hotel  

Location, the building and garden design all very pleasant. Good breakfast and comfortable bedroom, quiet with a nice view. Having got used to the lack of attention we enjoyed it!

We arrived after 10pm, having notified the hotel and were unable to get anything to eat or drink. The bar closed at 10pm and it was not possible to be served a drink as a resident. The staff were very pleasant but the service was rather slow and unpredictable.

Nice atmosphere good service nice breakfast. Lovely location.

Sadly rooms cold at night, No hot water for shaving or shower even after running the hot tap for over 15 minutes. . This applied to both of our rooms. Numbers 2 & 5. TV not working in room 2 . Noise on street in the early hours of the morning prevented a good nights sleep.

A historic hotel set in a gem of a small village, the hotel was comfortable, warm, charming and blessed with an even more charming staff. I was sorry I had so little time.

It's not posh. Just comfortable and friendly and very adequate and well run. Nice people. Nice amenities, easy car parking, cheery bar, decent though not overwhelming food, excellent breakfast, good location within a stride of good shopping or the riverside. An excellent overnight stop which you might well want to turn into a long weekend.

Good hotel in excellent central location. Excellent Breakfast with wide choice.

No Wifi available which was extremely annoying as I needed to access for a project required for a meeting the following day. Staff tried various options but were still not able to get access. Would not recommend to business people but would for leisure

I like the fact that the crown hotel is in a very good location. Close to amenities, and in a very attractive little village. It's views are picturesque and the terrace at the front of the hotel is a lovely sunny spot to relax and sip a drink. It happens to be very close to where my family down south live therefore making it my first. Notice for accommodation.

The negative with this hotel is that it can be very noisy at night and I have sometimes had disturbed nights sleep. Last time I stayed there I was woken up by rowdiness at 3am, evidently turning out time from the bar/nightclub opposite the hotel. In future I will always ask for a quiet room at the rear of the hotel. I would rather have a good nights sleep than have a room with a view!

We were given a lovely double room which was very very clean. The hotel had an old world charm which was very attractive. Breakfast was always good and hot menu was freshly prepared. Staff were very helpful.

Really comfortable beds, very generous amounts of complimentary coffee/tea and bottles of still water. Breakfast cooked fresh and interesting and varied menu. Lounge area for guests was comfortable and free parking welcomed. We would certainly stay here again if we came to Blandford especially as the hotel was so central - but was not noisy from traffic.

Decor starting to look a bit tired, though bar and restaurant area still very good, comfortable & clean.

Located in the centre of Blandford.Superb breakfast.Very nice room,bathroom and good range of tea and hot drinks.We will stay again when visiting our family.
