Great position in the town. Good bar. Excellent breakfast. Wi-fi did not work and the staff were reluctant to help sort it out. Bathroom need some minor DIY to work. Some staff not on the ball, although not unfriendly.

The room was well furnished and clean, nice to have a bath too. Evening food was excellent! No Hot water in the shower!! The taps on the sink are not able to function because of a wall mounted mirror!

Nice old building and close to the centre of Blandford. Poor sound insulation from the road. Code for exit from the carpark not given at check-in.

The hotel is in the very centre of Blandford. A lovely Georgian building, in a great location. Until recently it was being operated by Best Western and the quality had gone down hill - however, it now seems to be independent and the quality is much better. My room was a nice size, with all new furniture (but in a cosy country style), and a nice bathroom. The communal spaces of the bar and restaurant were also very nice, clean, cosy and welcoming. Being in such a small town, the service levels were perhaps a little lower than most 'city-dwellers' are used to. The staff were all very polite and well presented, but it just lacks anything 'extra'. If you are going to Blandford, then this is a good base however.

The position in Blandford is excellent, very close to the town center and within easy walking distance of all the amenities. The hotel rooms are excellent with facilities that are not always available at all hotels. We had relations join us for a drink and they were able to bring their dog into the bar area, being dog owners this is important to us. Having visited Blandford many times before I had seen this hotel but never stayed there, I was impressed by the staff and the accommodation. Wedding facilities are excellent as our family have had their reception there previously to this visit.

The location was very good for the town, and for us it was close to our families. We liked the service we got, the staff were friendly and efficient. The room was smaller than we expected, but the bed was very clean and comfortable, and it was lovely and warm. The breakfast was varied and plentiful, the English breakfast was freshly cooked and tasty. We will certainly reccomend the hotel and hopefully be back for another and maybe longer stay. We found the room small, and there was no fridge. The carpet was a bit grubby.

Excellent service, food and wi-fi access. The bed was lumpy and soft. It let down the rest of the hotel really.

Convenient. I ordered room service for my breakfast as I was a single lady but breakfast did not arrive. I telephoned for 15 minutes to chase it up but nobody answered the telephone. Went to work hungry! When I said at Reception about this they found the order still on the desk and it had not been forwarded on. I was going to be charged the full room rate as apparently the Receptionist said that they didn't charge extra for breakfast and that it was an included room rate - I insisted I was not paying for a breakfast I did not have and reluctantly the bill was reduced by £7.00. I asked for the Manager to telephone me - he never did! The restaurant staff are always moody and lack training every time I come here. Unfortunately not too much other choice to stay in Blandford.

The rooms are spacious and well equipped. There is a good restaurant and bar/lounge area. The rooms have sash windows which tend to rattle on windy days (which was the case the night we stayed). If you are a light sleeper this may be a problem.

Location; cleanliness; facilities; quality of breakfast. Staff were helpful on arrival but thereafter did not seem to be interested in providing customer service.
