Nice bright room, airy and good bar and restaurant facilities plus great breakfast. The service lacked leadership hence there was a feel at Friday night dinner that it was all a tad ah hoc with dishes arriving at different times. Food was well presented but one or two of the courses were average/poor.

Lovely quirky hotel, our room contained lots of books, pictures etc, slightly oldfashioned but we loved it.Breakfast choice was very good. Lots of free parking. right in the centre of Blandford which has a good mixture of shops, and hotel just next to the river for a walk after breakfast. Nothing really all was fine

Lovely room, comfortable beds, excellent food, comfy warm atmosphere in the pub and dining room, very friendly and approachable staff. The Crown exceeded my expectations and created a very nice weekend holiday, I would like to stay there again.

I've stayed several times before and like the simple friendliness of this small-town hotel My single room was cold and the radiator ineffective to heat the space. The large heavy curtains had to be folded up not to cover what little heat they gave. The dinner was awful roasted vegetables sloshing in oil and the chicken parched! Pity

The ambiance of the public areas. As the radiator had been turned off the room was very cold and took a long time to warm up.

Food was great, we were stuck with a big table of 15 though, I thought the staff could have thought a little more about room layout, a little lazy of them really. Breakfast was really lovely, I went for the veg option (i'm not one) it was so tasty. Staff were very efficient and friendly

The breakfast was excellent and the hall and reception was decorated lovely for xmas The toliet was not cleaned properly and the bath mat was disgusting and so was the shower curtain also there was writing on the wall behind the bed also we found a dirt pair of shoes in the wardrobe and because I was cold the extra blanket we found had stains on it so it was not used!!.For a room that cost £130 per night normally it was not good value. These things could have been corrected with out much cost,

The room was extremely hot and couldn't turn the heating down, so uncomfortable from that perspective which didn't help a comfortable night's sleep.

All staff were friendly and helpful. Public rooms and bed comfortable Food was poor, except breakfast. Menu boring and apparently unchanging Our room was cold and unheated on our arrival; sash windows rattled and caused draughtiness on windy night Bathroom heaters were not functioning, even on changing rooms Water supply erratic - cold tap produced hot water in the night: hot tap scorching water!
