Location would be good if wanting to be based in brackley. Reception staff friendly & helpful.
Bit tired decor, everything was fine but would not want to pay full price.
The stay was good food very good staff very helpfull would use the crown again
The rooms furniture dated the beds need to be renewed didn't sleep at all
great service and rooms with very good prices.
wifi was restricted
Good value and clean. Breakfast ok.
No air con so needed to keep window and curtain open. Street lights on all night and clock tower chimed every hour! Not hotels fault but no sleep! The option would have been nice.....
The quirky ambiance of an old building, with decor and furniture to suit. Very friendly staff, attentive but not intrusive.
Brackley is well placed for the underestimated beauties of Northamptonshire and North Buckinghamshire
The decoration and furnishings need a little refreshment. It was inconvenient to have a plain glass window in the bathroom. They need to tell everyone that you get to the car park through Waitrose's.
Good desk clerk staff Breakfast was satisfactory
The quad room beds were extremely uncomfortable. The room was not clean and did not even have a waste bin. We had to listen to the noise from a nearby night club until 1:00 am. Dishes and cutlery were dirty Wait staff did not replenish items without being asked.
Polite and helpful staff. Comfortable stay.
Felt it is overpriced by quite a bit given the basic room/bathroom and breakfast.
Not a lot
My Bathroom was not touched on room clean, shower head has not seen de-scaler for a century, mould in the shower, breakfast a farce on Friday, several guests not getting what they ordered and leaving, and to cap it all a fire alarm early one morning and no evacuation procedure in the bedroom at all
The building is an old coaching inn right in the centre of Brackley. The room I had was clean and spacious
the pillows were a bit flat
Good location. Easy to find. Pleasant general decor. Buffet breakfast.
No chairs in room. No net curtain on window overlooking main street. No coat hooks for wet coats and none in bathroom. No night porter. No hygienic mattress cover, just sheet on mattress. No toiletries for third night. No hoovering or bathroom cleaning, just emptied bin, re-made bed and renewed beverages.
We went to Silverstone so the location was good
Rooms and other areas in Hotel were very Clean. Great Location just off motorway and very close to Silverstone.
Basic things missing from the room- Glasses, hairdryer and a mirror. Shower- you could not change the temperature from HOT. Bar Food not great. The first Hotel I have been in where I had to make my own toast.
The skirting board in the bathroom was black with dust and dirt and the sink had not been cleaned. Furniture was mismatched and paint was peeling from said furniture. The carpet had not been acquainted with a vacuum for quite some time. The ceiling light had only three bulbs working out of the six and one bedside light didn’t even have a bulb in. The window catch was missing and the windows were filthy. We now move to breakfast. The cutlery was dirty and plates were greasy. Cereal BBD was April 14, I am sure that I don’t need to point out that this is illegal. The fruit juices smelt off and the icing on the cake was a member of staff setting a table place, dropping the cutlery but still continuing to set the table with cutlery that had been on the floor.
The staff were welcoming and efficient. The property has character and 'interesting' history. Lovely breakfast thank you.
Nothing to report.
Location in the middle of the town is good and it is a traditional English pub-hotel. Lots of genuine and emotive pictures on the walls to reflect nearby Silverstone without overdoing it.
9am end to breakfast was not reasonable
Friendly staff - good bar food and breakfast was good. Great location for Silverstone . Bar prices were very good and locals make you feel welcome - all in all a Yes' from us.
Bed was a little hard but second night was more used to it. Noisy town square and the clock chimes on the hour - traffic was noisy as windows open but location is central and we have been before so we knew what to expect. Food good.
Staff very welcoming & helpful. Breakfast good & rooms comfortable. Great location.
Had room at the front of the Hotel, and was very noisy on the street outside till 2 am on Saturday night / sunday morning. Would suggest asking for room at the rear of Hotel.
Great location for visiting Silverstone which is ten minutes away. Car parking was very safe either behind the hotel in the Waitrose car park or in the couryard area at the back, but it was also possible to park safely out the front on the main road. When I visited there was a selection of Ferrari's, Aston Martin's, jags and Merc's all safely parked up for the night. There are several pubs that do food close by, but the hotel restaurant was also very good and the lamb's liver was excellent! The hotel is a bit shabby chic, but in a characterful way. The staff were all very helpful and polite and welcoming. We will be booking again for the next time we are visiting Silverstone.
Location, price and excellent staff service
Room in coach house was a little quirky
The room and the general feel of the building, the staff were helpful and polite
Our room overlooked the road, it was very hot but couldn't leave windows open because of traffic late night revellers and church bells
Most things good staff helpful.
Needs 2 chairs in double rooms not 1 + a fan.
Lovely room delicious food and very professional and friendly staff
Very helpful on reception, carvery good value, comfortable bar area, room clean and everything worked
