Situated in 40 acres of gardens and woodlands, Ord House Hotel retains its original 17th-century furnishings and antiques. Open log fires are featured in the hall, drawing room and bar.
Score from 92 reviews Fabulous
Very accessible to the bus station. Very professional staff, and excellent breakfast. Nice area.
Staff - friendly and helpful. Location is handy and car parking good.
Plumbing - little hot water, toilet broke down twice, noisy location on road junction, breakfast cooked without care and attention. Uncomfortable bed
Location of hotel - quiet leafy road only 10mins walk to centre. Pleasant breakfast room and delicious food. Helpful staff. Views from comfy, albeit small, bedroom. Big bath!
No major dislikes.
Just a few blocks from the main shopping district, the Crown Court featured the most spacious accommodations of our trip through Scotland thus far - huge bathroom, large bed, big closet.
They might want to expand the number of songs playing in the dining room from 3 to 30.
The staff were friendly, the room was clean and comfortable. Location central and within walking distance to the main street.
decor could be improved
Clean, friendly staff and close to city centre. Fried breakfast was good.
Staff very friendly
Some rooms need updating
no resident lounge. bathroom with filthy. beds were lumpy. breakfast was average. overpriced.
Location, parking, wifi and the people in the bar were great, even forgoing their golf so that we could watch our football team on TV and buying us drinks. Really made to feel welcome.
We turned up at 1415 and reception was fine. Went to our room which the cleaner was just finishing. She completely blanked us. Not even a hello. Room was ok but bathroom very much in need of work.
Location was great, short walk into town.
Staff weren't particularly friendly, a characteristic I expect to be a natural attribute in such a role. Hotel itself was run down, broken glass in corridor, bathroom mirror smashed, bathroom paint peeling & musty due to age. It was a shame as it was the end of our holiday. Breakfast lacked ambience. Mouldy individually wrapped croissants, no fresh fruit only tinned! No effort made to accommodate us.
Friendly staff. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant on our first evening. Breakfasts were good. Convenient to walk into Inverness Centre - about 10 minutes.
The room was very dark because of trees outside. Bit of noise going on in the hotel at night from a birthday celebration. Bathroom needs updating, but was perfectly usable.
staff couldnt be more helpfull even down to breakfast staff when your a wee bit hungover, excellent would recommend anytime thanks.
Atmosphere Noise from 21st Birthday Party General state of decor Had to clarify our bill on leaving - they'd added drinks and a meal that we didn't have. They rectified it immediately and said it should have gone on another rooms invoice. Just as well we checked though.
Good for a stop over in the city centre, close to all amenites and accomodating staff.
Location near to Castle and city centre. Free parking.
Room a bit run down. Bathroom grubby. Freeview TV only had a few channels, other had no signal.
lovely staff, spacious room, although beginning to fade
Location was great, close to the town centre. Room was great, staff were really friendly.
Decor needed a bit of updating, but otherwise all ok.
Clean Friendly staff Location both easy to reach and it's proximity to town center.
If anything the bar area is a little basic.
The staff were extremely polite, pleasant and helpful. My room was clean and amenities within the room available. The room was cleaned each day and supplies replenished. We had an evening meal within the hotel, which was excellent.
My room was a little dark due to trees outside the room. This meant that I had to have the light on during the day.
not too far from centre
-No Wifi signal in room or breakfastroom. Just in front of reception -not clean -poor breakfast, not understanding English -lose wallpaper -mold in bathroom and roomcealing -not good value for money -not worth a single star -stay somewhere else if you can
The room was dirty. The bed should have been thrown out years ago. The bathroom had mould and there was damage throughout the room and hotel. The toilet roll holder was disgustingly dirty and probably a health hazard. Even at £89 a night you should have a comfortable bed and a clean and safe environment. My advice, do not stay at this hotel.
Incomfortable bed. Dated, dirty and damaged decor. Filthy bathroom with mould around bath, dust and dirt on the skirting boards and toilet roll holder which was so dirty it was unhealthy. Noise from function room until early hours."
The large spacious room lovely friendly staff and large car park.
Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and polite.
Not having a view from our room, we were looking at the hotel wall which was only a few feet from our window.
