Very poor service for breakfast,no menu just asked what do you want? I replied bacon egg sausage and to my disbelief got only one of each.

Nice pub in rural hamlet. Food is freshly cooked and was very good. Good range of beers including real ale. Although out of the way not too far from Ashbourne/Uttoxeter/A 50 / Alton Towers.

Room was rather small and cheaply furnished for the price paid. Some noise problems from extractor fans /thin walls etc

Attractive traditional country inn, somewhere to park, clean, comfortable bed, good value, excellent breakfast, free wifi.

Small room with double bed made smaller by unnecessary chest of drawers at foot of bed. A narrower shelf would have been better

Excellent little hotel in nice quiet area, we stayed for a trip to Alton towers and is only 5-10 minutes drive away, staff were very helpful and breakfast was very nice, We accidently left our ipad in the room on departure but staff were very helpful and held it safe so we were able to collect it after our day at alton towers Couldn't ask for anymore for the price we'll defo be visiting again in future

Wifi could have been abit faster but probably not hotels fault.

Very comfy Inn in a small picture perfect village, with excellent food. Hearty breakfast, well cooked. Very nicely maintained, very quiet. Upscale except for the reasonable price.

No problems for a party of 4.

We loved the village location. The food was freshly cooked to order with an amazing breakfast. The staff were warm and friendly. Very clean room with en suite shower room and tea and coffee making facilities.

The breakfasts were good

I picked up a chest infection and only stayed for two nights as I was not well. I was literally forced to pay for the booked three nights. It was very unpleasant and could you confirm to me this is how your bookings work. If it is I will never book with you again. I am now on a high dose pennecillin from my g p in Dartmouth devon

The breakfast was good. We were trying to find the Crown Inn the first evening and we received a phone call from them checking that we were still wanting the room, that was appreciated because their directions helped to find the place.

It was a small room which would have been fine but the chest of drawers at the end of the bed made it difficult to walk round the bed, painful when you stub your toe.

A good distance from alton towers, nice and out of the way from main roads. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Alot of dust in the room, other peoples rubbish under our bed when we arrived. Cold room even with heating on. Cleaner left our window open all day to add to the coldness. Thin walls and noisey doors.

The food was of an absolutely amazing standard, the rooms were all homely and comfortable and the staff were welcoming and helpful.

We didn't have any milk in our rooms but I believe this was due to the snow blocking the lorries.

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The building is lovely and the English breakfast was about as good as it gets. If you go for a wander in the village be sure to have a look in the church.

Pub toilets could do with a good dusting. Bedroom walls are paper thin....
