The Crown is a family-run property welcoming a range of guests, including families with children and pets. Awarded 3 Diamonds by the English Tourism Council for 2007, it provides a range of amenities, including a pool table and darts board in the bar.

The Crown’s Victorian conservatory features period decòr and is a bright and relaxing room to enjoy. The inn also has a meeting room that seats up to 20 delegates, with a full catering service available.
Home-cooked food is served in the friendly bar and Victorian conservatory 7 days a week. A wide range of draught and bottled beers are available.
From the hotel you can easily visit the surrounding Sussex countryside and coastline, with attractions such as the city of Brighton and Hove, Glyndebourne Opera, Plumpton Races and the South Downs. Alternatively, you can choose to explore the town itself with Norman Castle and numerous antique and book shops.
Direct train services to London, Brighton and Gatwick make Lewes a convenient and restful base for your trip. The hotel can, by arrangement, collect you from the station.
The city of Brighton and Hove is about 8 miles away, with frequent bus and train services.
