This exclusive, privately owned, boutique-style hotel is housed in a beautiful Victorian building, which has now been lovingly restored and sympathetically renovated in keeping with the Victorian...

Location was excellent. Food was good (we had room service). Service was good. Rooms are a little tired - and although this is an old hotel wouldnt take much to update the rooms. Great value for money.
Bed was uncomfortable, could feel every spring.
I liked the atmosphere of a very old hotel. The beautiful interior and exteria.
Noice from students outside on a Tuesday night/ Wednesday very early morning!
the wibbly/wobbly nature of the building took some getting used to! especially after a drink!
the breakfast was expensive and should be included in the room rate - like most other hotels
The hotel is very old, and has a good bar and restaurant. The room was comfortable and well appointed. But....
The room had venetian blinds and no curtains. This let far too much light into the room, particularly as the bed faced the window. We didn't sleep as well as we normally would.
Epoque decoration and style. Superb location
Noisy fun and not so good shower place in bathroom
Character quirky and welcoming
The shower a hand held one creaky bed
Charming old building and rooms. Central location in Nantwich with customer parking.
Very noisy until gone 11 p.m. weeknights and well past midnight Friday and Saturday night
Location. most of the staff were helpfull and friendly
I stayed in room No 1 a single, the carpets were filthy, the room was very dark, due to brick wall about 10 foot from the window, the trouser press did not work.£5.45 for a glass of wine at the bar. a lot of noise in the early hours.
Location. Quirky building Food. Friendly staff
The room was very dated. Bedding was the dirtiest blankets ever seen. No secondary glazing so could here people as clear as a bell out on the street till 5am.
The quaintness of the building and helpful staff.
The noise from in house functions.
Loved the quaintness of the place and the staff were friendly.
Would have liked a duvet instead of an old fashioned bedspread. I was cold in bed and the bed was too soft.
People were nice and friendly.
Small Rooms and uneven building made it uncomfortable to get around.
Old world charm Good food - good value Good ale choices! Good location for wandering around Nantwich
Very small room - but we did only book the night before Quite a lot of noise from TV in next door rooms
location of hotel, nantwich town & the hotel all full of character will definitely return again
The hotel is so unique and quirky, it was wonderful staying in such a historical building for the night. The location's great for both town and waterside and the free parking at the back of the hotel is a bonus. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.
The only unfortunate thing was that we got the last room in the hotel on the high street side (which is a lovely room!). But it was a Saturday night and groups of young drinkers chose to 'hang out' and socialize loudly underneath our window - pity! I'm sure that room is perfectly fine during week days though.
Location, Nantwich, old world charm, room, bar, breakfast, staff -
Oldy worldy. Great central location.Staff friendly, atmospheric+ historic. restaurant fine. Nothing too much trouble. Laid back - in a d=good way !
A beautiful 'black and white' hotel in the centre of a lovely town. Excellent food and beer (especially real ales). Everything such as the floors, stairs and walls either creakes or is at an odd angle - all part of the charm. Yes, it is not perfect and a bit tired out in places, but I would still recommend it to anyone wanting history and character in a hotel.
Closeness of a nightclub would have been a problem with noise had we been going to bed before 11pm. While some staff were ready to chat or pass comment, others were somewhat abrupt or just going through the motions of asking how things were and switching off before receiving an answer. Not sure why fire alarm went off by our room on a couple of mornings - not due to shower or aerosols as suggested by staff.
Pleasant staff, quirky old world hotel
No window in our room, just a velux on the ceiling
The location Tea and coffee making facilities.
-TV reception. First evening we stayed could we only get a couple of channels, couldn't get BBC Breakfast the following -No shower screen round the bath consequently water went everywhere -Room needed redecorating -Spelling mistakes on your online review form
The historical ambience of this fantastic original Tudor hotel. In fact it was like getting into a tardis and travelling back in time to the sixteenth century! A beautiful black and white timber beemed building with uneven walls and with an uneven staircase going up stairs to our bedroom. Full marks!
The awful unbearably loud music entertainment on Thursday night whilst trying to have an enjoyable meal in the restaurant. We were entertaining relatives and trying to converse, however it was impossible. Our annoyance was forwarded to the management!
Loved the quirkiness and friendly staff
Being kept awake until the easy hours by noise from a nightclub and rowdy revellers under my window.
Old walls and badly fitting windows meant all noises from outside and in were loud and clear.
