Excellent service in both bar and restaurant. Hotel double rooms are 'tight' for space. Fine for a one night stay, but I would not want to stay any longer than that in the size of room I have had on both trips to this hotel. |

Everything was clean and tidy. Staff were pleasant and efficient. Hotel is centrally located within the city and very near the public transport to get out and explore if you didn't have a car. Our bedroom was very small and you had to squeeze past the bed to get in and out. |

Close proximity to the shops, cathedral, castle and children's play area. Food was poor. Swimming pool was poor. No fitness facilities. No spar. |

Location in Carlisle city center is excellent. Short walk to Carlisle Castle and Cathedral and the Citadel. Walk to restaurants and pubs. There was a nice open market on the high street while we were there. Very nice walkable city. |

Staff were friendly Strange smell in in the bathroom, sink plug hole was dirty, somthing trapped there that I refused to touch. Room too dark to read. Television only provided instructions for SKY, so it took me an hour to find terrestial TV. I only required toast for breakfast, but that arrived overdone and cold. |

Excellent location, 5mins walk to train station. Everything close by. Comfy room and very nice breakfast. Pleasant helpful staff. Having to walk across car park in rain to get to our room in annexe. Having to stand in car park for cigarette, dimly lit,no seats,no canopy. |
