Great, atmospheric, traditional Inn with excellent food and a range of real ales and stouts. The young staff were very friendly, sociable and efficient. I will stay here again when on business in this area. Rooms have rather dated decor, but were clean and comfortable nonetheless.

Was close to the macdonalds mckinley hotel which is where we were staying. Rooms Smelled of damp/bleach. Carpet needed hoovering. We got given a tiny room for 3 people where our relative was a single booking and had a room twice the size of ours. Im thinking lack of logic

The accomadation needs updating and decorating, out of 5 lights in the room only two worked. We didn't complain about this as when we went downstairs the lady in the next room was complaining about the same thing and dust in the room. Once the lady had gone back to her room the staff started taking the Micky out of her. When we went for breakfast there was a menu on the tables but we told this was for non residence only. I asked for a continental breakfast and was told we only do full English for residence or cereal. They did bring me some toast but charged me £5.95 for one slice of toast and tea/toast. My friend asked for poached egg on brown bread, when it came it was on white to which the waiter said I told him it should have been on brown but hey that's just bad luck! Would not recommend this hotel
