All the people at the hotel were considerate and helpful.Nothing was too much trouble.
Perhaps better signage when walking from Station - if possible?
It was close to the centre
We were put in a disabled room but they did change us to another room.the drinks are far too expensive, £9 for a medium wine!
Large clean room, huge very comfy bed, lots of pillows. Coffee and tea making facilities with biscuits and chocolate. Room safe, proper storage, iron and board. Bathroom with toiletries, and forgotten items complimentary. Free wifi. The joy of having an openable window! Location is close to The Town Hall.
I knocked the mirror with my luggage when I entered the room, and it fell sideways, breaking the card carrier which keeps the lights on. Maintenance had to be called. The car park. UGH. Rundown, concrete monstrosity, looks like something out of an inner city horror film, highly intimidating. I thought it was going to be a private car park, but it's actually a public one under the hotel, there is no lift, so one has the choice of either using the nasty concrete spiral stairs which eventually end just outside the hotel, or walking out the entrance and then taking one's chances on the vehicle ramp - which at least has no steps. Very poorly thought out. I chose to park near the entrance and walk up the ramp. Location means that the short walk to The Town Hall is either through a graffiti covered underpass and shopping centre, or take a chance crossing the dual carriageway. At 22.30 at night, I took my chances above ground.
The staff in the Club lounge were very attentive and friendly.
The lights in the club lounge by the television were far too bright and gave my wife a headache.
Another enjoyable stay went to the German market was fantastic
Parking facilities were terrible, with no advance warning
The room was really good value for money, very spacious for a standard room and the shower was amazing!
The staff was very rude both when we checked in and out and not very approachable, In fact they made me feel very uncomfortable, I'd rather of goggled my query than asked them. We also stayed in room 702 which the toilet was very unstable and wobbly.
Very clean Polite staff Close to all of Birmingham's main things to do
Breakfast wasn't that nice Nothing special
Close to trainstation Nice rooms, comfort beds. Stayed four nights
Food in restaurant ok but not great. Cleaning of room late in afternoon
Comfy double bed and pillows. Spray/pulse oil to aid sleep provided Late check out
Noise from outside event late at night. No bath. Bit mean with the tea and coffee.
A very efficient hotel - however if travelling from new street - be warned- the walk is very 'spaghetti junction' hope the planning department have this on their radar! Hotel good but dirty carpets in Communal hallways demonstrate lack if care-
Area immediately around hotel - not walker friendly + communal carpets dirty \ hotel has no lounge
Requested earlier check in (by 1 hour) request granted at no extra cost. Very quick check in on the day. Staff very friendly
No negative points
The location was great, close to shops and social life, room we stayed in very comfortable,
Directions not clear from train station could use more land marks ie near library
No parking, should have your own car park. That's the most annoying thing. Everything else perfect
wonderful comfy beds ( two doubles), excellent shower. Good variety at breakfast. Friendly staff. Perfect location for restaurants, bars, shopping and NIA. Would definitely stay here again.
Had to wait half an hour for a bowl of chips from the bar.. Tired and wanted to go to bed...
Good hotel, helpful staff. Good restaurant meal, reasonably priced.
There should be a car parking discount for hotel guests
Nice towels Breakfast OK Short walk to Broad St
Dark and depressing decor Not particularly clean Rubbish duvet and pillows Broken toilet seat Location was convenient but very dark in the immediate vicinity Very loud air con, or cold room !
Relaxed atmosphere Professional Staff Slightly more expensive than other central hotels, but worth the extra
Close to Birmingham City Library and Harvey Nichols! Staff very friendly and helpful. Bedroom spacious and bed comfortable. Breakfast was very good
Nothing to not like
Location, friendly atmosphere, bar, excellent breakfast
Check in was quick and easy Breakfast was good despite restaurant being really busy
Room was very disappointing no toilet seat, TV didn't work properly and extremely noisy heating system. We're running late for evening function so didn't have to to ask for room change
The staff were very helpful when my husband needed assistance to get into the hotel. He has Parkinson's. Location good
Lack of drawer space. Very slow service in the bar for food at lunchtime.
Location of hotel. Bathroom and shower
Only 2 sockets, one not working. Broken bedside light. Very dim lighting. Broken tap lever. Bath and shower slow draining. Loose bathroom door handle. Having to ask twice for advertised down pillow. No organisation at reception for queuing when busy.
