We had a friendly welcome when we checked in Car parking charge extra cost - no Christmas greetings on Christmas day when you are staying in a hotel on Cheistmas day I really think the staff should have made more of a effect to make you feel like it was Christmas. Very disappointed with the interaction of the hotel staff

Ideally situated for those visiting the University The post code and road name take you along roads with bollards. The staff at the hotel, however, give a different address to Satnav which takes you straight to the hotel - should be on the website

The hotel is centrally located in Cambridge. The rooms are very spacious and clinically clean. Breakfast caters for every taste, excellent. The hotel is well appointed and the staff are very professional and friendly. There is valet parking. I have stayed at this hotel many times and will continue to do so.

This is not a complaint, but we would have liked brighter lighting in the bedroom.

Location and one member of staff who had only been there three days overheard our conversation about a wheelchair to use went off and found one despite reception staff saying they hadn't got one. Food was very good too. The cost pretty hire - London prices! Couldn't understand reception staff on the desk or telephone. Need to have better Englush to be on front desk.

The location was fantastic, very close to everything we visited in Cambridge. The room was lovely and the bed very comfortable. We had asked for a quiet room but our room faced the street and there was some noise which woke us up in the middle of the night - but it was not that bad.

Friendly staff No way is this place a 4 star. Better facilities at holiday inn at half the price; 2 star at a push - very non-descript. Got a superior room too - hate to see what the standard rooms are like. The bathrooms are in better nick at any easyhotel - nothing special about it - stay a night at the Sofitel Heathrow for a similar price and you'll see what I mean - pls dont contact me - thanks anyway.

It was a nice hotel and the staff were exceptionally friendly. Location is fantastic if you're there to do some shopping, the sites and visit some restaurants / bars. The room was old and tired - not really in keeping with the high standard of the rest of the hotel. Car parking was expensive but that seems to be the case with anywhere in Cambridge.

We were attending an event at one of the University colleges in the city centre and the primary reason for choosing the Crowne Plaza was the location and the deal offered by Booking.com, although reputation was also a factor. We had previously stayed in the Crowne Plaza in Muscat,Oman, which we enjoyed very much. We were very pleased with our spacious room and comfortable bed the quietness of the hotel. At the price we paid of £97 it represented very good value for money. We would stay there again.

The staff were very attentive and ready to assist and respond to our queries. The location is also very good, close to the main shopping streets and colleges. The cleanliness could be better, in bathroom and bed cover was stained. Curtains were falling in one of the room.

The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. I was in Room 111. The tap in the bath was leaky and in addition, when I was filling the hot water, it turned to shower few times without touching the button/lever. Also, all the metal parts in the bath room are rusty and it seems that the improvement is mandatory. The room temperature was not controllable and I was bit chilly throughout my stay.

Its location was central to the bars and restaraunts and the staff were good. Nice and clean throughout which you would expect at the price. Confusing checkout, I thought the room had been charged through booking.com on my credit card at time of booking yet was charged again on departure. Luckily I had enough cash to pay.

Excellent central location. Friendly staff and good, prompt service from everyone. Spacious bedroom and quiet for a city centre location. Plenty of towels and hot water. Very good bar food menu. Restaurant dinner good quality and choice. Comfortable and spacious communal areas. Efficient valet parking. Bedroom temperature difficult to control, too hot. Lighting in the bedroom too dim. It was very wet during stay but there was no place to hang coats except in the bathroom where they were in the way. Standard breakfast coffee in restaurant poor quality for the meal price.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful in all areas of the hotel. The location was very convenient and rooms were clean and very comfprtable with lots of amenities including and iron & ironing board! Would like to see the lighting in bedrooms improved. It was difficult to read at night as lights were inadequate for that purpose.

The room was comfortable and just spacious enough for the two of us. It was ideally located for walking and eating in Cambridge. Breakfast was not included in the cost. We were told that breakfast is never included when booking on Booking.com but I know that this is not true. We could have bought breakfast in the hotel for £16.00 but went around the corner and had a very substantial and tasty breakfast in Wetherspoons for £4.20. Also, the bins were collected below our window and kept us awake from 6:30am to 7:15am one morning. We thought this was unacceptable.

“The Kingsize bedroom with extra lage size bed and very nice view of river were a real plus(ses) for my wife and I on this weekend break in Cambridge. The friendliness of staff when we checked in and in the restaurant/bar made us feel very welcome also. Being able to have breakfast up to 11am on Sunday was a real treat as well. Loved our stay, would definitely recommend it to others. Thx for making our stay so pleasant.” Edward, London |

“We were very impressed with the University Arms. It was centrally located so ideal for shopping and for eating and drinking. We booked early and got a good deal. The parking below the hotel was ideal as we had a lot of gear with our baby. We would love to come back and make the most of the bars in the hotel.” Robert, Stowlangtoft |
