I stayed at the hotel prior to a very early morning flight, so booked a call for 4.am. This call did not come through . Fortunately I had an alarm clock otherwise I could have missed my flight! I complained on the way out and was told the automatic system had failed- not good enough

The rooms were nice and clean, service was good and the people are very helpful, even when the booking was mixed up they sorted it out efficiently. We would stay again. The time to bar shut 10pm friday night, then asking for Residents drinks and being told no you need to get room service and getting charged more than the cost of the drinks for the service. We were told that the bar shuts if not enough people are at the bar. Strange.............

Bed comfortable and quiet The exec lounge is good as well for a read of newspaper and a coffee in quiet The new parking setup is maddening, one time 9 cars were waiting for exit via the only exit! Plus maid staff walking in despite saying I was busy, so use the do not disturb sign £15 for flaky internet! Walk to Speke shopping centre and buy a 3g dongle, cheaper in long run.

I recall the building as the former Liverpool Airport Terminal. The refurbishment of the original art deco is superb. From Reception through the bar to the Restaurant, the staff were friendly and efficient, everything an ex-patriot Liverpudlian like myself used to be proud of. The quality of the room, its fittings and furniture were excellent, and the whole ambience of the Hotel was luxurious. Should I need to visit Liverpool again, I would not hesitate to stay at the Crowne Plaza - John Lennon Airport - again. I would wholeheartedly recommend this Hotel to anyone. Its not the cheapest, but you certainly get value for money. Best regards, Bob Woosey

We both enjoy our visits back to Liverpool and knew that the hotel would be nice just because its a Crowne Plaza, but we didnt expect it to be sooo nice.! The art deco features are such a pleasure as was our arrival at the hotel, the receptionist - sorry I didnt get a name, was a lovely girl and a credit to the hotel, the room was lovely, very stylish, bed extremely comfortable, bathroom beautiful and very clean. Would we stay here again?... In a heartbeat! Leaving.

Brilliant! Great location close to airport. Wonderful history of building and the Art deco decor was excellent. Best breakfast in a long time. Would definitely come back if I needed a hotel near the airport.

The staff did not smile or seem to care, apart from talking to each other. On return the bar was closed and no food available, we asked reception and were told no food was available. We then had to cross over the main road to go to a mcdonalds and then were told by the same receptionist that 'you cant eat that here'. What were we supposed to do. In the morning we were then told that the bar should have been opened. We will not be returning.

Good location, nice room When we arrived the member of staff on duty could not access the booking system and so did not have our reservation. We eventually sorted that out but on checkout the next morning there was an error in that we were booked for two nights instead of one. He also refused to provide us with a wake-up call. Information on local transport links would have been helpful but was not provided.

My reason for staying at the CP is to visit my mother who is in a Nursing Home near by so proximity is a major consideration. I like the CP because it is near to shops, I can access the David Lloyd gym and I can get a proper breakfast and evening meal, should I so desire. The hotel is always clean, beds are comfortable and bathrooms have everything I need. Referring back to the previous question: eveneing meals tend to lack imagination and could be a bit more exciting! Although I was able to get a good price for the room on this occasion, sometimes room rates are high.

This was my first visit to Liverpool on a xmas shopping trip from Italy. The staff at this hotel were polite, helpful and took the time to have a conversation with myself and my friend even though they were busy with other guests no one was ignored . As for the room it was spotless ,it was very clean ,comfortable and had everything in it that you would need to make your stay welcome and pleasant . The decor in the room was lovely , very tasteful and the art deco theme was not over the top . I would certainly go back to this hotel as my first choice and would be disappointed if I could not get a booking .

We were unable to reserve a room at the Crowne Plaza in the City centre due to unavailability. However, we found the John Lennon hotel accesible for the city following advice recieved from the hotel staff. The decor was of a goiod quality, the staff very obliging and professional and the food was of a good quality. We would certainly stay at the hotel again. We did not find anything that we disliked.

Very pleasant design of interiors and staff were always helpful.Comfortable beds and good facilities especially the David LLoyd Health Club adjacent the Hotel.Access from motor ways ok s was the bus service to the City centre. On Friday night we were disturbed on 2 occasions by someone banging on the door who was looking for their relative but clearly had forgotten their room number. On Saturday evening their was a wedding and although this was not intrusive we were disturbed by noise in the evening by people in the rear courtyard who were presumably smoking but this was not a serious iassue. Found price of drinks and food on high side but of good quality.

Much confusion at reception with bookings and later with checking out and nearly having to pay twice because of the state of confusion. Cash was demanded even though a credit had been excepted. We are waiting to see if our card is still being debited despite later having to pay cash. A definite mix up but we were a ratherlarge party and these things happen.
