Die spa-Anlage ist mit deutschem Standard nicht vergleichbar, eher unhypienisch (es gibt keine Handtücher zum Drunterlegen in der Sauna, in der Sauna werden Zeitungen gelesen und getrunken) und altmodisch sowie schlechte Lüftung und entsprechend abgestandene Luft

We were riding our bicycles and the staff went out of their way to let us store bicycles inside so that they were safer. I loved the bonus of a telescope in the room.

Could not fault the hotel or its staff

The facilities were excellent. I stayed as a solo travelller looking to explore the area. As well as having a large comfortable bed (superior single), I had a bath and shower in my en-suite which was clean. There was also a bathrobe included. I enjoyed using the spa, which was relaxing and just what I needed after a day's exploring. Although it was sometimes busy at peak times, this was because of the facilities were very good. The cafe/bar served good meals at reasonable prices. The staff were friendly and helpful. I stayed in a room with a sea view and although I had to pay extra it was worth it as I was able to see the coastline continuing to the South with the town to the North.

Although the breakfast was lovely, there was limited choice in the hot foods which you could have as extra, but this is the only negative!

The staff were very helpful and polite, the spa/club was excellent. Location good, slightly expensive for breakfast.

Modern clean room with excellent facilities.Brilliant bathroom TV! Good food and ability to cater for a Gluten Free diet. The swimming pool and spa facilities. Great walks in the immediate area. Great views and a telescope in the room was great.

We were in a top floor room and it was a bit hot. (Heating was off and the window open). Uncomfortable pillows - but many hotels have similar pillows. No bottled water in the room. room safe was locked on arrival.

Not enough parking, I had rang and asked to reserve a disabled space at time of booking and was told because the booking hadn't shown up on their system, was not able to do so, was told to phone back later, this wasn't possible because I was at work, so had to park car some distance from entrance, not ideal. Not enough hot water for shower in morning, bath not easy to get into with disability. Continental breakfast pastries were hardened, not fresh, somewhat stale.

We loved our stay there, it was luxurious and our room was amazing, the pillows were.to die for and felt so comfortable, we felt pampered by it, loved the lighting in the ensuite, loved the style of bath and the waterfall effect taps, liked.the extra touches of the bath robes, we loved the filter coffee maker, never seen that in a hotel room before and my husband loved the coffee, the pool was lovely and relaxing and we really loved all the spa facilities,.steam/sauna rooms etc,.loved the jaquzzi never been in one that you could actually swim

We had no air conditioning in our room and as the position of our room the windows only opened so far, so the room was stuffy esp after using the shower and there was no fan in there so no where for the steam to go, which by looking at the ceiling in the bathroom looks like they have had a problem with mould.from.condensation in the past, so because the room was so hot I couldnt wear the bath robe that was provided, which was a shame as I wanted to wear it, my husband had sweat dripping down his face he was that hot.and had to sit by the window that was slightly open to help him cool down. Our room number is 150 if.someone wants to check these issues out. We feel as though we didnt have sufficient sachets of filter coffee, we only had one, which wasnt enough. The tv in 150 is placed in a silly position as wen ur on the bed u have to place urself at a funny angle to watch it, its not easily watched from the bed. The control panel underneath the tv made funny noises wen I unplugged my usb lead from it so in order to sleep I had to plug not just the usb lead in but also my phone, that was tempremental and made noises from time to time. Disabled facilities are not fantastic at this hotel and there is room for a lot of improvement, im recovering from a broken foot and I managed to use the swimming pool, but too many steps as it was too slippy to use crutches in the changing/ poolside areas had to use wheelchair but there was steps instead of a slope, wen showering there was no chair for me to sit on so my husband had to hold me while I washed myself, this is in the pool/showering area, which was really difficult for me.as my good leg.was taking all my weight and my ankle was hurting, if my husband hadnt if been there I would have fallen. Lack of hand rails in the changing/showering area/ pool side, spa areas, I had to hang on with both arms to my husband and hop around the above areas.

All public areas- bars etc very modern and welcoming. Bed extremely comfortable bathroom lovely. Location and spa facilities. Beautiful historic building

I thought the staff was extremely friendly, very helpful. I would of like to stay longer to use the facilities they looked wonderful.

Dress code in the resturant a guest came in for breakfast in a vest shorts and flip flops.If you want to maintain the prices and quality of this hotel this should be looked at!

The room was a disgrace; never in a million years can that room be rated 4-star, and that was without the constant smell of sewage. Also, some of the Spa facilities were either far too cold, or indeed, out of order.

The room itself was well appointed and spacious enough, but most bizarre was that every time someone walked across the floor of the room above, our room,on the first floor, vibrated, rather like a small earth tremor , which was very disconcerting at eleven thirty P.M.. Location was good, away from the 'kiss-me-quick' areas on the sea front, but with a very steep climb back to the hotel if you venture out. No major problems with the hotel,but if this is one of Scarborough's finest I wouldn't want to stay in a cheaper place.

Though our room was clean the communal areas, such as corridors were not. The first floor corridor was grubby, in need of a vacuum and a good clean carpet. They advertise free street parking, but this is limited to three hours. You need to book a hotel spot at £8 per day to be sure of parking close to the hotel. It didn't match my idea of what a four star hotel has to offer. Where were the bell boys? Where we the customer comment cards?

Lovely rooms and spa

The hotel was spotless and the room excellent. We had an upgrade to a sea view on the top floor (room 506) and it was stunning! The bed was the most comfortable i have slept in. We took full advantage of the spa facilities and I even used the hairdresser who was excellent. The location was perfect. The staff were very friendly and helpful we will definitely stay again!!
