Very friendly staff, Especially in the spa it was also nice of the hotel to upgrade our parents on their 50th wedding aniversary :-) Parking was a bit of a hunt fir a space , the hotel could do with a car park |

Very lovely hotel with great views over the cliffs and seaside of Scarborough and within easy walking distance of town. A lot of money has obviously been spent on refurbishing the hotel and it shows in the furnishings, fittings and decor of the rooms. We booked a last minute online deal at £99 for Saturday night but were nonetheless disappointed to discover on Sunday morning that the shower did not have hot water. We could only get it to become lukewarm by turning on the bath taps simultaneously although this then scalded your legs... I think it was a one-off misfortune though as my son's shower worked just fine! |

The high standards throughout, with a focus on resident comfort. Of particular note was the attitude of every member of staff, who exchanged greetings when ever met during the course of our stay.We were always made to feel welcome wherever we were during our stay. No adverse comments at all. |

Nice position and we were pleased to have a sea view room. Great for a2-3 day 'City Break'. Staff were very helpful,particularly the young lady on reception who took time out to give detailed directions to resturants in the area, her suggestions were excellent. We were entertained by the seagulls on the window sill first thing in the morning! Room was relatively small for a 4* hotel it was warm and there was no no air con. Hotel was very breakfast was disapointing bearing in mind the comments made by previous clients |

The tv in the bathroom was 'lovely'. Watching the news whilst bathing was interesting. The 'Penthouse' suite was hot. Unbearable so. We had to try to sleep with the windows open. If there was a thermostat we could not find it. I hardly slept at all while we were there because it was so hot. Are all the Penthouse suites the same. We assumed because we were on the fifth floor and heat rises this was the reason? |

Relaxed atmosphere, health and fitness facilities good (especially facial!). Comfortable lounge area with log burner, refreshments always available. Restaurant food was very good, but the menu was limited if staying for more than a few nights it would be boring. |

Everything...down to the little rubber duckie in the bathroom!!! The guy bringing up the bfast...the dinner in the rest (yuum) the bar staff...everyting The girls on the desk were a bit robotic....Everything said was a "role" that they had learned off...they need ot relax!!! They also had no internet access for us to pay a toll we passed through and wouldn let us do it on the desk.Wouldnt let us check in till exactly 3pm, even though we wer waiting around since 10am that morning. We asked for a late check out and someone knocked on our door twice to clean the room.These things didnt put us off thoug. id defo go back! :) |

Rooms really nice and friendly staff. Nice to begiven a welcome pack in recognition of building work and a courtesy call on arrival in room. I emailed to request to upgrade to sea view and 4poster bed and was never contacted back which i thought was quite dissapointing. |

The spa and the location We've stayed at the Crown three times and its always been fine but this time the room was to small not worth the money and the breakfast was below average and the television had a poor signal could only watch one channel |
