Really like SPA within hotel building to relax after business work
Did not like noise on passage by other travellers
Clean, friendly and comfortable . We never stay anywhere else when we visit London.
The hotel building was so exciting and has a special energy.
Room and bed were comfortable. Heating system is not balanced. Too hot or too cold. Inside of hotel was so cold. Staff are so kind but doesn't have experienced
Comfortable and clean rooms and friendly staff
That we weren't staying longer
The staff were polite and helpful. The building is spacious and modern and imaginatively attached to the Crown public house with its enormous atrium. Plus a swimming pool.
Cricklewood has lots of places to eat but not if you want something to match the style of the hotel. I took a bus to the Edgware Road on two days to find a salad lunch!
We arrived to a smiling receptionist called Mimi who was very efficient in getting us booked in.The room we received was lovely and larger than we expected. The bed was nice and the added toiletries in the bathroom were also great. The food in The Crown pub which is attached to the hotel was great and the breakfast had plenty of choice. We stayed for 2 nights and we chose here because it was close to Wembley, which is why we visited London for the NFL.
The only thing was that the sheet on the bed and one of the pillowcases were marked but it did not detract from our stay. The area around the hotel is a little run down(Kilburn) but again this didn't make any difference to us.
Most impressive first sight of the hotel on arrival, and inside proved not at all disappointing. Spacious, airy and light atrium.
Perhaps the longish walk to the nearest Underground station - but it proved an interesting walk !
We often stay at The Crown - an historic landmark in its own right, which has been skilfully extended to provide modern, comfortable & affordable accommodation of a high standard in a great location, excellent for London attractions and shopping with big red buses to Oxford St (and to most of London)at the door, Cricklewood Overground Station right nearby, and the Kilburn Underground only 10-15 mins stroll down the Edgeware Road. Crown Moran is also a friendly and sociable place to eat & drink, with some real variety available in house.
Not much to grizzle about here - could do with a frig in all rooms, and Wi-Fi is a bit patchy - but that won't stop us staying there again.
The rooms are large, and convenient A big and wide Reception Very good Swimming pool and fitness room Buss station is in front of the hotel Restaurants and supper markets are closed to the hotel Helpful stuff
The Internet is weak at room No mini bar or small refrigerators at rooms
Staff were polite and extremely helpful and professional.
Buffet breakfast was limited
Look of hotel Superb Pan Asia Restaurant with its Burmese Chef . Irish Pub with Music The hotel did have a car park on one of the busiest roads in London.
Overnight Noise from Police vehicles every 30 minutes all night Room was freezing Ages for tapwater to get hot Getting a large Minibus into the underground Car Park
staff very helpful rooms lovely
loud loud music in the upstairs bar till after midnight . destroyed the ambience of the foyer.
Easy to get the bus from outside the hotel to the underground with the same ticket, Jubilee line straight in to London. Room was spacious and very clean.
The chicken Caesar salad was poor.
The gym was the greatest aspect of the hotel for me. Hotel was very spacious and beautiful. plenty of areas to relax and read or socialize. very elegant surroundings. nice size rooms and bathrooms.
a bit of a musky smell in the rooms. food was not worth the price. location was not the best so traveling by Taxi at night is recommended but will cost more.
LOCATION,STAFF AND GENERAL VIEWS
Excellent hotel, modern building blended very well with the Victorian side of the hotel. Thai restaurant, in house was outstanding.
Noisy in the early morning, I think we were over the breakfast restaurant, so were awoken by the staff at around 5am each day. Underground car park £30 for 2 days.
Lovely room , comfy beds , friendly polite staff - car park good value
Fan not working in bathroom , small opening window did not close properly resulting in traffic noise in the room.
Cleanliness, easy to get around with Bus/Train, Plenty of deli, cafe, even 24-hour bakery
Front Desk doesn't know much about nearby tourist area, nor giving any suggestion. Simple shuttle should be able to be arranged with reasonable cost. we were 5 minutes drive time from under ground station, with luggages, shuttle will be helpful. electric plug shall be made available whenever we ask without having to put strong statement. A big bottle of mineral water shall be provided. due to the price we're paying, around GBP 100+/night
Beautiful hotel, great comfort, WIFI was excellent-strong and reliable, facilities in the room were great. If you do not fancy eating in the hotel, there is a fabulous choice of fast food restaurants right outside.
The shower was a bit grimy. Some TV stations were distorted.
The size of the rooms the comfort of the beds The location
The noise throughout the night The dirty and mouldy bathroom (time for a refurb) The wear on the bedroom furniture (laminate peeling of on the bedside cabinets and by the tv) The poor tv reception making it almost impossible to watch anything. The Irish breakfast isn't what it was (cheap salty bacon, anaemic eggs, watery mushrooms etc)
it was fair value for money, it was not bad for a few nights while working in the centre of London
the Shower was noisy & difficult to control, the wifi signal was slow, the area was rough, I asked for the feather pillows to be changed, which they didn't & the air con didn't work.
Irish pub! Good ambience in hotel
Being woken up at 5am by a false fire alarm!!!
The rooms Staff Cleanliness Restaurant Gym Pool Parking No congestion fee
Rooms too small and and breakfast not included
The hotel is far to the center of London, about 44 minutes by bus.
