At the seafront, overlooking Bournemouth Bay, The Cliffeside Bournemouth has an outdoor pool. With a superb clifftop location, it is just a short walk from the center of town and beaches.
Score from 582 reviews Good
Good freshly cooked breakfasts. Cheerful staff. Clean and comfortable room. Hotel in good location for shops and sea-front and BIC.
I'm tall and ensuite was small especially cramped in shower. Street parking was virtually impossible though we did strike lucky once. Public car park is close enough (3 mins walk) but £9 for 24 hours.
We liked the fact that the Croyden did not make it obligatory to stay for 2 nights over the weekend unlike most other hotels in the vicinity. Opening the kitchen early to accommodate early birds - we really appreciated this Very clean Big, comfortable bed Well appointed shower room Ironing boards and irons on every floor Great wifi connection Close to car park
Not so much what we didn't like, more of what would improve the experience and I stress that these are minor niggles but: Hairdryers should be provided Towels could be larger Soap needed in the bathroom Blackout blinds - our room overlooked the street which was illuminated all night Ear plugs - I appreciate the owners can do nothing about the noise in the street but guests should be warned to bring earplugs
near to shops, clean and comfy bed and bedding, lovely food.
Hugh and the staff here are so welcoming and friendly. I could not fault this hotel and will definitely be staying here again!
Good location and generally a vey nice small hotel
A bit expensive compared to some others in the same area
Nice clean room comfy bed lovely breakfast
Everything!!!! Go there and stay its fab x
Friendly owner, nice big room at from of house, great breakfast, close to sea.
It was pretty good overall, would definaltly go there again ..!
Our room was very clean and comfortable. The position of the hotel was great for walking into the town where all pubs and restaurants were.
The time allowance for having breakfast was too early. i.e 8am - 9.30am on a Sunday.
A lovely B&B which was clean, comfy and very polite staff. The B&B is only a 5 min walk from either the beach or the gardens that lead to the town centre. I would recommend this B&B to anyone.
There wasn't anything that we didn't like. The only thing I will say is finding a car parking space on the road could be difficult, we were lucky to find one and left it there all weekend as it was free.
The owner of the hotel was very welcoming when we arrived, made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was fine in the morning, staff more than helpful. Rooms very clean and beds very comfortable, had a very good nights sleep. Hotel perfectly situated for what we needed it to be. Close to the beach only a few minutes away and was close to the other amenities that we needed.
The only thing I didn't like was lack of parking. The Croydon doesn't have it's own personal car park which I doubt they would be able to remedy, so if you can't get outside the hotel for free parking which is tough due to their being plenty of other hotels around, you had to go and pay at a car park just around the corner from the hotel. That car park can also be busy due to the lack of car parking around the area. The only grumble that I have to be honest.
room brilliant, also food and service good. ideal spot for all entertainments, especialy the Bournemouth international centre, which was our main reason for being in Bournemouth.a really lovely town
Good food Clean
No parking Small room Pipe work not covered Very dated
Very friendly staff good quiet hotel nice home cooked breekie
It would be good if there were permits for parking close to hotel due to being a one way system and overnight parking in car park added to the expenses
The lounge is well designed , funky and very inviting as are the staff. Our room was immaculate, beautifully decorated and very relaxing. We loved the beachcomber style breakfast room and the food was fresh, cooked well and very tasty. Our waiter was so friendly and helpful. They all cared that you were having a great time and even suggested a great Restaurant to try. Would go there again in a heartbeat.
No parking on site took 3/4 hour to get parked
When we arrived at the hotel we felt so comfortable, the owners greeted us and shown us our rooms, they were very spacious and well laid out, all the information we needed was in our rooms and free wi-fi was easily accessible, we used the comfortable lounge to have a drink with the owners then went out to a tai restaurant just minutes walk away from the hotel recommended by our hotel and it was superb. The breakfast in the hotel was excellent, smocked salmon with choice of eggs on a toasted bagel was a hit with our table and the full English. We stayed for three nights and enjoyed every minute
Comfortable, clean room and very tastefully decorated. Excellent breakfast, and well worth the wait.
Some attention required to the shower control in room number 5. At the moment you either get scalding hot or freezing cold - nothing in between.
Staff were amazing and very friendly, recommended us a fab restaurant to eat at. Location was fantastic. The renovations that have been done so far are lovely and will be nice to visit again once it's completely finished. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Fairly close to the beach and centre of Bournemouth.
extra charges for wifi and parking. No yogurt or green tea available at breakfast. The plug in the sink didn't work so I couldn't shave and the shower head is fixed which is really annoying
we were welcomed at door and our suitcase was carried upstairs.Breakfast was very nice , and we were asked if there was anything we would like special to eat then to let them know.Very nice stay.
we thought we would see more of the sea but all we had was a main few of the street , which had a tiny bit of sea in the distance.
We really enjoyed the homely touch to our stay. Simon was incredibly attentive and we felt welcomed. I really liked the deco. The retro touch and paintings. If you want a home away from home, this is definitely the place.
The hill from the town centre to get there. I suppose it wouldnt really matter if I was fit!!!
Clean, excellent service
Hot water shower control was a bit confusing.
