The setting of the hotel The price of drink was rediculously high, considering that the Hotel had been fully booked due to the Wedding that we were attending and I bileve another function, the hotel was already making money but to charge in excess of £2.00 for a very small bottle of Coca Cola and over £4.00 for a drink is very poor. We recently stayed at another 4* establishment within the area where the rooms were larger, the prices were less, but the setting and facilities would exceed that of Crutherland House. As a result of this I will not be staying at this establishment again and when the time comes for us to pick a venue for our daughters wedding crutherland house will not be being considered. Also conidering that the reception staff must have known that the wedding guests were arriving and those that were staying there would be checking in, surely another member of staff could have been put onto reception. Aslo it was in very bad taste that the Wedding package prices were in the room conidering we were attending a wedding at the time.

It was extremely convenient for us as we were attending a party in the hotel. Our booking was inefficiently handled as we were asked why we did not turn up in September and we were originally charged until I pointed out that the booking I had made was for December. Hotel then sorted it out.

my first experience with hotel and i wont be returning,i was kept waiting for an hour for my room .that still wasnt ready and was given another room which was freezing and near bins,which you could hear very cleary bottles being emptied into it,also during the night there was a very loud droning noise all night. I was planning to use spa facitlities ,but as i was kept so long for my room,myself and my husband didnt have time.

Comfortable beds, quiet corridors. We attended a funeral at the hotel and so it made sense to stay there too. The handling of the funeral was excellent from what we saw. No travel cot in room when we got there despite my request on my online booking and so I asked downstairs before we went out that evening and was told " we will hunt one down for you" but it never appeared and no explanation so I shared a double bed with my 2 year which was not the best!!

Food Really dreadful - badly needs a face lift; staff were eventually good but needed a lot of prodding and lots of issues -E.G. not answering telephones, not booking my taxi in the morning etc. Would definitely not recommend what is at best a 2 star hotel.

the setting of the hotel looked nice as u drove up,the professiolism of the staff and the feeling of being somewhere with a touch of old world charm but with all modern conveniances at hand all in all we both had a lovley stay and will go back

We went to chill out after a three week adventure in central Africa. The hotel was just right for us comfort great food and spa. We can highly recommend this hotel to future visitors.

Nice location, pleasant and friendly staff. Excellent leisure and spa facilities Signage for the lifts and leisure facilities was not good. I got lost and had to ask how to get to these !

I stayed at the hotel as a guest and as part of my friend's wedding which was held at the hotel. The hotel did an excellent job with the wedding. It had a relaxed, organized atmosphere with good service. It was wonderful to be able to pop up to my room which was clean, quite and comfortable. I enjoyed a leisurely breakfast the next morning which was delicious. I had a wonderful time. My only regret is due to time constraints of my trip and with the full day of wedding the day of my arrival, I didn't have a chance to use the leisure facilities. I do like to swim. I had a bit of an issue with the electricity in the room. For some reason I couldn't get the lights in the bathroom to work.

The staff were very friendly, the food was excellent and the rooms were very comfortable. The Hotel is like a home away from home and isn't at all impersonal like 95% of good hotesl are.

I always like the professionalism of the staff and the fact that even when the hotel is very busy, you feel valued and the hotel does not feel over-crowded. The setting is also lovely; calm and serene. I have stayed here before and I will stay here again.
