Braeside Guest House is set in the beautiful scenery of West Argyll, Scotland, overlooking Loch Feochan. Braeside offers superb views of the hills of Mullach Ban and Creag Mhor.
Score from 110 reviews Very good
In the picturesque town of Oban, this Victorian guest house has bright, spacious rooms with free Wi-Fi. Bars and restaurants are just 2 minutes’ walk away, and there is free on-site parking.
Score from 135 reviews Fabulous
In the centre of Oban, ideal for Argyll and the Islands, this small Scottish hotel is one of the town's oldest buildings, with a lounge, small bar and views of the waterfront.

clean, friendly, good breakfast. altogether very practical hotel and conveniently located close to Seil (boat trips) but not as home-like as expected...
hotel on the road, some rooms have view on the road, darkish dining rooms (apart from bkfast room which is great and bright), little bathroom a little bit gloomy and very weak water pressure.
the shower- it was not very strong
Staff were extremely welcoming,, the room was lovely with a really comfy bed & the breakfast was excellent. Lots of great tips from staff & locals on best places to go. A very enjoyable stay highly recommend.
A good "old fashioned" hotel. No silly gimmicks. Welcoming staff. Food: excellent choice and quality. Distant bagpipes.
The langoustines were best my husband has ever had! He is very very fussy. Expensive though. I'd recommend the food!!
Very long wait for dinner! TV ancient and only three channels as I think two channels were same!! As Games were on we were interested in watching! Breakfast for two another £20!!
Clean Comfy bed Quiet location
No WiFi Tiny television
As there was no other restaurant in the area we ate at the pub in the hotel. What a surprise! They had the usual pub food but also a couple of other items that were quite gourmet. For me, this was the best thing about staying here. We have stayed in so many one night places on this trip that only the really good and really bad are remembered.
Good Staff, good beer and good Craic! Quick trip to collect an engine and this place was on our way home, ideal.
Stayed a couple of days. Hotel is well located almost mid way between Crinan and Oban. Friendly owner and staff.
The poor old house has been neglected for many years and the current owners have a huge job to repair and renew. We also found the internal decor rather dreary and dark.
Made very welcome. Only been running buisiness for a few years, young couple venture doing very well. Grand old house lot's of character good food. would stay again All the very Best Brian Angie Bisley, Surrey
Would loved to have stayed longer
dated rooms, worst shower ever used, scruffy garden, expensive compared to other hotels we stayed in. needs complete makeover will not go back
friendliness of staff the old bar the atmosphere the food for dinner
Really excellant breakfast. Quiert location.
Room was dated. Areas need repainting
Friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Good welcome and homecooked fare.
Wi-fi reception patchy in rooms. As it was a business trip, this meant working from the bar area.
Good atmosphere and fr
For the price it was a good nights sleep, a bar and nice food
Meals were very nice, but a simple sandwich on the menu would have been welcome.
Atmosphere, the Bar, the friendly people, the food, the old house with beautiful rooms, huge bathroom with bathtub and shower, best breakfast we had in 2 weeks!
Food in the bar was excellent and the staff were very friendly
Not a lot. The food was OK. we ate dinner there. It was very slow coming.
The room was very tired and in need of a makeover. The bed was far too soft. The windows were filthy. The lounge, in which we ate, was lacking in atmosphere. Had we not booked in advance and needed somewhere for the night, we would not have stayed. really, the Cuilfail is a local pub with rooms.
Location, Staff (including owners) nice. We went to local quiz night for a boat thingy, quite funny.
Breakfast was dreadful. No Tattie-scones, or "traditional Black pudding" offered. We are used to better. Stayed next two nights in Inveraray for less/ and got full Monty Breakfast and dinner, we had to pay for our dinner in Cuilfail! We often go away and stay overnight or a few nights. This was our 47th wed. Anniv.(and needs had to be) The Argyll nxt two nights cheaper including meal, was much better in every way. We would not mgo back and would not recommend to anyone. Nothing to do with the dampness on the wall, (took the room as Vickie due to operation could not go up more stairs. Room was adequate! No value was very poor to what we are used to. And as said we tried our best going to their "local" fundraising night.. SOooory to be so honest but it may help others not to GO...we were very disappointed.
Friendly, good food and beer(real ale) Lots of character
