On 15 acres of private grounds, this hotel features spectacular views of Portree Bay to the Cuillin Mountain range. It has an award-winning restaurant and a range of whiskeys available. The rooms at Cuillin Hills Hotel have warm, traditional décor and all feature satellite TV. Every room has fresh fruit, mineral water and free tea and coffee and some also look out over the bay. The View Restaurant has a menu sampling local produce and Malt Embassy has been awarded for its range of whiskeys. Boat trips around the beautiful Isle leave from Portree harbor, half a mile away. Although pricey, this hotel is almost faultless. The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. The room was spotless and WiFi throughout the hotel meant you didn't have to loiter in the main areas if you didn't want to. The food was excellent too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

actually not best pleased def not 4star more like a 3star inn in a lovelly location ,,,dated room totally terrible bed gave us backache reallt bad value for money and ruined our break everything but the view crap!

The room was superb. The staff very friendly and helpful - they went over and above to ensure we were comfortable - even to the point of ensuring we had a disable friendly room. Staff told us of different routes and particular beauty spots to visit. Nothing to comment. Everything was brilliant!

Our double room was really nice and it looked out over the Port. The restaurant was top class - ate there on the 3 nights we stayed there and had no complaints. Breakfast was also very good.

Location, location, location. Staff freindly and helpful. Lounge area lovely. Room and ensuite are a reasonable size and very comfortable. Food at restaurant is not the best .... need to improve this to complete the package.

An amazing location overlooking Portree. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were large and well equipped. Breakfast was fantastic. I can't recommend the egg benedict with the most tasty smoked salmon ever!

A suerb location with some of the best views you could ever wish for. A beautiful experience with great walks on your doorstep and an exquisite village to explore. The whiskey distillery tour, the shops and scenery were everything we hoped for. Lovely meals at the hotel too!

Spacious room Delicious breakfast Accommodating and helpful staff Great lounge and whisky bar Great location Overpriced Woken very late at night by someone having a shower in the next room No bathrobes. As we were paying top prices, I was expecting these and had left my own at home.

Locartion Large bedroom with great view Breakfast good Friendly Staff particularly at Breakfast Bed was uncomfortably hard. I like a firm bed but it needed a topper mattress. The bedroom was large enough to accomodate a larger more modern bed but needed better use of space- no need for 14 drawers ! Bed initially provided with blankets, got a duvet the next day. Dining in the bistro was poor. Overall very poor value .
