“Everything! From the welcome received at the reception to the consistent professionalism of all the staff we met. Our room was stunning - I could have happily spent the entire weekend in it! The view of Belfast Lough was "worth going the journey" for alone.”

The staff were well trained, polite, friendly, pleasant and local - important as I hadn't been back to Ireland for over 20 years. The accommodation was excellent and the beds were the most comfortable I have slept in. Were they just mattress toppers - I would love to know! The comfortable seats in the bar were perfect for us to spend time with family. The setting and building is beautiful. Minor irritations were that the wi-fi had to be paid for - disappointing in a 5 star hotel. I overheard a member of staff telling another customer that the pool was out of use due work being down - disapointing not to have been told this when we booked in

The Hotel was wonderful. The beds were fantastic after some tiny b&b beds. The staff were extremely curteous and helpful, especially dealing with the minor problem below. A pleasure to stay there and would stay there again in a heartbeat. The WiFi sytem they use. In this day and age virtually everywhere we traveled in Ireland and Northern Ireland, WiFi was free. Most pubs, restaurants, all the B&Bs we stayed in, all were free. Here was paid 6bp for 90 minutes of WiFi. We had problems with logging off and ended up using 2, 6bp sessions and wasting most of it. An antiquated arrangement. I will say the staff ended up refunding our 12BP upon checkout. I appreciated their gesture.

The staff are very good and the hotel is in an excellent location. The only thing I can say is the hotel is a little over-rated but would still recommend it.

The friendliness of the staff on arrival and our room upgrade without asking.Rachel on the front desk was very helpful as were all the staff, nothing was a problem. The food was excellent and it is indeed a great location for a hotel with a short hop to Belfast city centre if shopping is a must, personally we would give the shopping a miss and simply enjoy the splendour of the the hotel and all it has to offer. Will definitely go back to the sooner rather than later !!!

Staff tried hard to please and the place is very grand and comfortable. My bed was astonishing and the bathroom huge. Only two negatives- Internet cost was way too high! Most hotels have free wifi these days. And though it's nice to be out of the city, breakfast, at £20, even if you have toast and coffee, is steep.

Very friendly and helpfull staff, hotel is total luxury with a great spa facility. It was fantastic sitting by the fire in the bar in very relaxed atmosphere. Room was excellent. We didn't eat in the hotel but chose to have a dinner in the Cultra Inn, part of the hotel within the grounds, the food and service where superb. If you want to indulge in pure luxury, I can highly recommend the Culloden

The location close to belfast and the grounds in which the estate is set are beautiful . the "cultra inn" the restaurant on the grounds is a homely place with reasonably priced food The hotel us classed as 5 star yet the superior rose are very small for 5 star, and lack basics like a fridge in the room. The bathrooms are compact; and again you should expect more from this class of hotel. For the price it is expensive.

Everything! From the welcome received at the reception to the consistent professionalism of all the staff we met. Our room was stunning - I could have happily spent the entire weekend in it! The view of Belfast Lough was "worth going the journey" for alone. All the meals we had were excellent, especially our meal in the Mitre restaurant. We were there the week before Christmas and already the atmosphere was very festive. Only wish we could've gone back for Christmas! Nothing!

Quiet, maybe a bit too quiet, lovely gardens, large room. Catered for more of the over 50s. Breakfast over priced £18.00 per head, I thought this was included when I booked it, and £6.00 for a sandwich? Overall lovely hotel, but just under £500.00 for 4 nights for a room only was steep.

The location was perfect 12 minutes to downtownBelfast on the train. Walk to Ulster folk park and transit museum. The grounds and the views were lovely. The food was gourmet quality and the room was very large with every amenity imaginable but it was the delightful professional staff that made it truly exceptional. For the pric ed it was very good value. I would recommend this hotel to any one. It was great

Very relaxed atmosphere. Nice lounge area. Comfortable with good service. cleanliness could have been better in the bathroom. Some mould in bathroom, particularly visible when taking a "relaxing" bath. Bedroom doors slammed closed. Extremely average food served at a wedding but perhaps the restaurant would be better. Wedding food is typically hit and miss.

The ability to enjoy the swimmming facilities as I attended the Travel event, the purpose to my visitning the hotel in the first place. I also availed of Room Service as I was able to choose from the dining room menu. (I did not like the room service menu - did not allow for a proper meal choice). Service of staff was excellent. On this occasion nothing but had I been staying longer I would have been adversly affected by the lack of loungers by the pool as the three that were there had been reserved with towels and personal belongings. I would have liked to lounge there and definitely had I been staying for the weekend would have found this sadly wanting.

We had a wonderful time apart from a very long wait for dinner which was prebooked for 8.30. We eventually got our sitting at 10.10 pm. We pointed this out to staff who were most apologetic and who only charged for 1 meal, we also had bottle of wine which we did not have to pay for. We were also apologised to the next morning by the duty manager who offered to get us coffees. This made up for the disappoitment of the night before.
