Living room smelt terrible, had to by freshener to make it bareable.
Spacious apartments, nicely decorated, everything you needed; crockery, hair dryer, iron. Close to city centre, everything nearby.
Beds were not comfortable and squeaked every time you move. Sofa beds were poor quality and one was very small- not big enough for 2 adults. Sleep 4 was ambitious, 3 at most.
Located just a 5 minute walk from the shops and even close to the bars on VIctoria street. The staff are really friendly in the Base office.
The apartment are up a few flights of stairs and there are no lifts. There are a few bars directly opposite which can be quite noisy.
Very nice to walk to all places we wanted.
Missing the second bathroom which we had in Duke street. I was told that the rooms had same size with same facilities. It's just nice to have when we are 4 persons in same flat.
Location Style of apartment Apartments facilities
The leaking dishwasher which left us with a soaking carpet. The apartment not being ready on time. Awfully uncomfortable bed.
comfy bed all necessary facilities security good
location in noisy narrow street entrance off putting.
Nice apartment and facilities Proximity to where we were going out
Even though it had been made clear beforehand did not expect the level of noise and the resultant lack of sleep. Mature group of ladies on a girlie weekend.... Appeared when sofas cleaned maybe did not dry properly therefore they stank
Well equipped kitchen
View from Window directly at Foxy's night club. Uncomfortable noisy bed. Being accused of burning the carpet with an iron which we never did. The attitude of the staff & very poor customer service. Distance of office to pick up & drop off keys from the apartment.
The overall stay in the apartment was nice, good facilties and comfy stay.
The bed was very uncomfortable.
The location was close to everything, kitchen well equipped.
The loudest squeakiest bed, not exactly a home away from home because this was absolutely shocking! Every single time you moved, a massive spring squeaked, it was so loud I couldn't believe it. Cumberland apartments situated directly outside a club, windows are not soundproof no matter what the base staff say! Poor nights sleep. Soundproof the windows and maybe invest in an ACTUAL bed not a rubbish one that's full of springs in the thinnest mattress ever.
Location, facilities and cleanliness
It is required to do the check-in quite far from where the apartment is. When travelling with lugage it requires to take a taxi
The location was close to all the activity in Liverpool ie cavern bar and restaurant Close to shops
Fetching the key by foot from such a distant from the apartment got lost and ended up getting a taxi I think the office is located in the wrong location considering where the apartment is situated we lost a lot of time trying to find our base we assumed the apartment was close to the office
Everything, but would advise noisey street no problem for me I would sleep through a hurricane, tornado and world war three all in the one night but for anyone who is a light sleeper I would not recomend.
Anytime in in Liverpool i use the base apartments . Great location .fast service.key is always ready when I land at the office .good team
Great central location and perfect size for us as we just needed somewre to keep our stuff and kip. It was great value for money but little things could have made it better!
Were told it sleeps four but the pullout bed in the living room realistically only sleeps 1. We were two small girls but would have really liked to see how 2 big blokes would not have got on. The bedding was a little dirty and if it wasnt for the copious amount of alcohol, doubt we would have slept a wink! There was no lift which would have been nice to know and also the exact location. Cumberland street is right in the middle of the gay quarter and some clubs dont close until 8am. That was great for us but again would have been nice to know. I come from liverpool and i didnt know the exact street so was supprised at the level of noise. would have been fuming if i was on a business trip.
Location very good
The bed was very uncomftable, you could feel the springs when you lay down. The quality needs to be improved. Noise in the early hours was loud from the clubs opposite and pub in the street emptying
The location was excellent in terms of walking distance to all pubs, restaurants and museums etc.
Finding the office to get the keys and then the 15 minute drive to find the apartment. The £250 deposit. The apartment is directly opposite a Bar. Didnt bother me, but might bother some people.
The Location - near to the Cavern Quarter & Shops. Good Value, clean, and fairly well equipped. Would suggest addition of small sharp knife and salad/fruit bowl
The noise from the disco across the road kept us awake
Noise from nightclub 10 feet away from door, street noise until 5am. Dish washer didn't work, needs DVD player and more than 5 TV channels Second Bedroom in the Living room without a door.
Having stayed in a SACO apartment a few months before we were completely shocked by the Base apartment we booked in Liverpool Only stayed one night instead of the planned three and owner is not prepared to refund any money In a back street Right by a noisy night club - no sleep till after 1 a.m. Dingy No air con and it was hot & sticky NO WIFI ( in 2014!!) No lift No table to eat at Not even a chopping board Doors of freezer sections fell off Couldn't wait to leave! Sheila
It was a safe location. Clean, tidy, practical and had good but plain facilities. The comfiest beds I have slept in for a very long time!
Firstly two windows were broken and could not be closed. This was annoying at night time when the noise from outside kept us awake ALL night. This was a long term problem and ought to have been rectified before letting out! The basin in the bathroom also was not working efficiently because the water failed to drain. The back window also needs a sash curtain to stop people from above getting a cheap thrill. Just niggles but once put right it will be an A1 place to stay!
Very convenient for city centre. Pubs and restaurants close by. Spacious apartment. Secure parking.
The street was a bit seedy, and there was no view from the apartment.
Home from Home Tesco up the street highly recommend their sirloin steaks we dined in apartment lovely! I would highly recommend Base Serviced Apartments to anyone visiting Liverpool. Everything from staff to location. Even the local people of Liverpool. Wonderful. Thankyou.
Easy walking distance to the shops and clubs near by.
The horrible Foxy's club that looks right into the apartment. When you look out of the balcony, drunks, goths and emo's stare up at you. Music was blaring all Friday night, all day Saturday and all day Sunday. Swearing, arguing and smashing glasses.
Convenient for shopping and nice restaurants etc. Very easy to find.
We paid the extra £10/night for parking but it was difficult to find and we weren't given the card to access past the bollards. We eventually found it though but had to go down a one way straight to get in. Bed wasnt very comfortable but overall we were happy with the stay.
