Distance from the centre of town, bus stop right outside with regular busses to centre. The staff were polite and approachable. Rooms clean and fresh towels everyday. It was very quiet, even though breakfast was busy but plenty of space, it was usually quiet of a night time.

The breakfast was a bit hit and miss on occasion. With cooked breakfast it was great, however the vegetarian and continental options were a bit peculiar. Did not always have enough if you asked for a later breakfast.

The price...It was double what you would expect to pay for this standard of hotel in other cities..... Bearing in mind it was almost 2 miles from the centre. Also, no food was available prior to 7pm

    Good breakfast.

A fairly comfortable hotel in a reasonable location but with drawbacks. With the exception of a young Rumanian man who was very friendly, efficient and helpful, the other members of staff were not particularly friendly and the younger ones did not appear to know what they had to do. (Perhaps trainees?) The ‘Restaurant’ only provides snacks/light meals with little choice. The decor of the lounge isn’t very inviting. We were in room 14. The loud creaking of floor boards above us, the noise from the bar and cooking smells from the kitchen made us thankful that we did not spend a lot of time in our room.

It's location closw to the city.

The room was smelly! Its a hotel that could be good but just misses the mark. Some of the staff were most helpful but others indifferent.

Location, proximity to city centre. Beds clean, breakfast good. Staff friendly. Car parking space.

Room very small. Bathroom poor - toilet leaked and did not flush properly. Bath water did not drain away old water still in plug drain. Only one key for room and entrance door - does this mean one key fits all rooms? wedge provided to secure room when in but what about during the day when absent?

The double room we stayed in had a double and a single bed. The room was spacious with a high ceiling. Good breakfast and friendly staff. Public transport to the city just outside the hotel and Haymarket station 5 mins. walk.

The en-suite shower cubicle was small, and the water pressure low.

The staff (all Eastern Europeans) were polite, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was acceptable.

There was no plug in the sink. I had a choice between shaving in very hot water from the tap or cold water. Not a pleasant choice. There were 2 towels, one hand towel and a very small towel not big enough to qualify as a bath towel. The room was clean but badly in need of decoration and upgrading.

The hotel had a homely feel too it and its location was perfect for us as we were attending an event at the nearby Murrayfield Stadium. The room was spacious and offered apt opportunity for rest and relaxation.

The shower in our room was very tepid and did not have an adequate flow of water pressure.
