Unfortunately I put my mony in this hotel, I should had a better place for my money. The room was so small, so I had to move some of the furniture so I can move inside the room, and the bathroom was tiny especially the basen.

1 - I liked the Location only . 2 - I Would recommend The Cumberland, For first time visitors to London . 3 - There are other hotels in london at the same price range with better rooms and cleanness. 1 - Although our booking was for an executive Type of room, but Room was very very small , can not even walk comfortably and cleanness of the beds is also an issue . 2 - staff serving the Breakfast were not working professionally . Although they have all my credit card details at the hotel reception ,They insist on asking for cash money before we even eat the meal and refuse to allow us to sign the bills (unpleasant way). I have traveled a lot , but this is my first time experience with a hotel mistrusting thier guests .

Location is positive This hotel is a disaster and a danger to personal health: mattresses on 8th floor are made by Sealy (cheapest supply there is) that are world famous for sagging 1 to 1-1/2 inches. I stayed in 2 different rooms, same problems both beds, the staff claimed never had any complaints. I never stayed in worse beds and never paid more for a hotel room in London. I still have backpains, 1 week on.

Very good facilities and location. No free wifi access, which is the norm for most competitive hotels. This is also not sufficiently highlighted when making a booking. Room service messed up orders on in-room dining a few times, which is really a poor reflection on the entire facility - this was addressed with management. Staff could be friendlier and more forthcoming (but probably a personal issue, as sometimes they are too "in your face"). I was placed in the second block and not the main hotel, which has separate access and a shocking access through the basement from the main hotel with absolutely no directions and taking clients through back of house operations - again, I would suggest a different rate or at least option to select main hotel or second hotel. Lastly - no designated smoking area or ash trays outside second block so everyone disposes of their butts at the entrance which makes it look even grubbier. Really not trying to bemoan the hotel - I had a great stay and would use them again - just a few subtle pointers where I feel they could do better.

The location is fantastic. You can simply drop your shopping at the hotel and continue shopping. There is a small fridge for personal use. The shower was positioned really bad where you'll get wet with cold water for seconds until the wsrm water follows. Also the shower door was not shutting properly leaving a mess on the floor. Standard rooms have no view unless you consider seeing other rooms' windows as a view.

Location At first , thier rooms are very small , I upgraded to Excutive rooms. Heaters in boths room not working. Its not worth the money. But this is the best you can get in London I guess for the price. Till our departures no one fixed the heaters.

Shared a twin room with a mate, which was very big for London standards. Towels huge, shower really good, tea/coffee making facilities, large TV. Room was very clean. We got it for about 100 GBP per night, which was amazing value for the quality and location. Nothing really. Some people have said it's a bit impersonal, particularly roaming the endless corridors, but that's what you get in a huge London hotel.

I picked the Cumberland as I had stayed there before some time ago on business. I picked it for location and the quality team managing the hotel and serving customers. I was really pleased with the reception desk team. As a disabled traveller, they had noted my request for s room near the lifts, on a lower floor. Were aware of me as an individual and were there at all times, prompting me with questions such as, did I require help to my room, help with my case etc. Edita on reception was very warm and friendly, she shared a joke and was welcoming and interested in me. On departure, I had to wait a few minutes for a receptionist to become available. The desk manager noted me waiting (with my walking stick) and opened a new desk point and then managed my check out personally. The Rhodes Bar was very nice, comfortable and I had a great croque monsuer sandwich and fries. I would recommend the hotel has a firm pillow or two in each room as I only had soft pillows and had trouble droping off to sleep.

Reception area was very spacious cool and modern. Can be a problem finding your room as the hotel is very large and all looks the same. Room was very clean, a few marks on the carpet but only to be expected when being used constantly by guests. Overall a lovely hotel in a great location. Marble Arch tube station around the corner in Oxford Street so close to shopping and all the main attractions.

Numerous staff, all attentive [and speedy response to repair room's faulty television]. Lowest grade eighth-floor room recently decorated. All furnishings and fittings in nice condition. Bathroom too. Excellent food and service in Gary Rhodes' small restaurant. Nothing significant, but room small, so double bed pushed against wall. We met two chambermaids, both very pleasant and efficient, neither speaking a word of English !

Location was excellent There was a queue for check in that took about 20 minutes. There was another queue to leave our suitcases with the concierge as our rooms were not ready. The conceige was very rude when checking in our luggage. Another conceirge gave us a restaurant to go to when we asked him, and when we went to it we discovered it was not open. We had 4 bedroons, in one the tv was not working , another the safe was broken and in a third the phone was not working. On check out I was advised that I had to settle for accomadation for one room which was already done on line

“Perfect location for shopping and sightseeing. Room was very pleasant at 8th floor, calm and light. Comfortable beds, clean floor carpet and good space. Nice, clean bathroom. Elegant reception area with sofa groups. Enjoyed the breakfast and a good dinner meal at the hotel in the evenings. All hotel staff members we met were professional and very friendly. Thistle Marble Arch a natural choice next time visiting London. ” Liv, Hommersåk |
