location , clean ,
My only concern and bad experience was when i upgraded my room from standard to executive king size room. what happened is that i found the bed so uncomfortable as it was about to single mattresses attached to each others in a king bed. Therefore you can imagine what will happen when both of those below separated while sleeping and i end up sleeping in either between the 2 single mattresses or in one of those singles. It was so annoying, they tried to solve it when i complained but still same problem and they didn't have one piece of king size bed. I had to live with that as my trip was for 2 nights only. But really such a nice hotel shouldnt have got such an annoying problem
The position of hotel suited our needs admirably. The reception staff were extremely helpful and pleasant.
Location, comfort and room design
Great Staff, very welcoming.
TV quality and choice was appalling, we had two rooms and both were the same, grainy and scrolling lines continually. Come on Cumberland Hotel, sort things its 2014. Not enough room in the bathrooms to put your personnel things. Room lighting very poor.
The location is right in the centre of everything.
The rooms are very small and not done up nicely at all.
Very good location, easy access to attractions.
I always feel quite safe when staying at The Cumberland alone. Plenty of staff to ask for help if needed
The new layout of the bar is quite sterile. I used to enjoy the cosy setting for inviting friends to meet me.
Ridiculous bar prices
The room size is too small.
the sataff.the location
too much noise coming from the light in the room and they said they cant do any thing about it
The location of the hotel is its greatest asset, followed by the friendliness of the staff and the comfort and cleanliness of the rooms.
The shortness of our stay!
nice bedroom comfortable bed convenient location
During check-in they wanted to sell an upgrade for 30 pound per night. I said my standard room at more then 300 euro per night was fine for me even if the view was the inside part of the Hotel. Finally the view of room 1118 was just on a huge engine! they should not sell that room! an upgrade should be offered for free. I was on business trip and had no time to ask to change the room. On the 2nd day, when I complained, they said if I wanted a basket of fruit instead. so, if you book a standard room you know it might happen you have a horrible engine one meter far from your window. at reception you are just a number, not a client. better smaller hotels.
Location is superb.
Slow process at check in counter and sending luggage from concierge. The spring pillow should be changed.
Great breakfast, clean and very comfortable room, excellent location for shopping
Even though Wi-Fi was free, was not able to connect on ll three days.
Staff behaviour, location, service and cleanliness of the hotel in general
Poor WIFI access from the room + I needed a little bit of space in the room
How can you give a review when I have not stayed there yet I don't stay until the 4th November
tv in the room needs updating
The Room & its facilities were excellent and superbly quiet in the night. The location was very central & food was of excellent quality.
The price of drinks in the bar was extortionate - £31 for two. The wi-fi was poor and on occasion unobtainable. The staff were polite and efficient, but twice we were challenged on ground floor with the clear implication that we were not resident. Aged 69, I find this unacceptable.
Don't put your key card next to a phone, it won't work when you get back and try it.
I like the location of the hotel and the comfortable rooms.
The prices are very high
The girl I was staying with
free WIFI throughout, location, opening windows (partially)
you could hear humming of units outside window when open - but I could live with this.
The TV channels and quality The WIFI in the room was very poor and didn't work all the time
