In a quiet London garden square, Montana Excel is just 2 minutes' walk from main line train and tube links, with value-for-money for a budget accommodation.
Score from 2249 reviews Good
Just 5 minutes’ walk from Paddington Station and 700 metres from Hyde Park, the Equity Point Hotel has dorms and private rooms. It offers a lounge and a bar.
Score from 1711 reviews Good
Very close to Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens, these simple yet stylish apartments are near to Bayswater and Queensway Tube stations, and bus services to the City and West End.

The modern and clean 3-star Montana is very close to museums, the Royal Albert Hall and Hyde Park. It has a restaurant, bar and air-conditioned rooms. Free Wi-Fi is available in the lobby.
Score from 1839 reviews Good
Access to the kitchen made it easy to have a quick meal without having to go out. Very close to the tube station so getting to other parts of London was easily accessible
location was excellent. Balcony. Excellent value for money
Toilet located on upper floor. A lady knocked on our door and burst into our room accusing us of smoking in the room. We hadn't of course however it did smell outside our room so I believe one of the other rooms may have been. She also told us off for using the balcony which she claimed we shouldn't have yet you could open it normally and there was no sign saying otherwise.
Quiet, warm, comfortable, female only room. Good to have a fridge. Staff friendly.
Last time I stayed here I commented on the filthy dirty pull cords in the bathroooms - they are black! They are still equally dirty and unhygienic. Please wash them or replace them.
Facilities inside and outside of the room
Feeling at home, in this small place in a huge city.
I arrived fairly late and was sent a text telling me where to find my key if I arrived after checkin time which I thought was most considerate. There is a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere about the place.
Hostel is in a nice location, short walk from Gloucester Road tube station. Rooms are very, very basic, but clean. Bathroom with shower quite new compared to the rest of the room and OK.
This place charges idiotic London rates for what really is not more than a hostel type accommodation. For a hefty 120 GBP you get a basic, clean room with a spartan bed (too narrow, too short, too hard) with a thin sheet (cold). OK bathroom, we must admit. Included is a continental breakfast: toast, marmelade and instant coffee. Other guests (semi-permanent hostel dwellers) give you the evil look when you don't wash up your own dishes. In fact they chase you and urge you to do it. Bareable for 1 short night. Not coming back again.
I loved the location(lovely church in lovely garden on the opposite side of street) beautiful antique house. The staff was very helpful and nice.
The matress was terrible, I advise to change because it's important for a good rest and it was'nt up to the standards of the hotel
Very basic, not enough toilets and showers for the number of rooms, poor breakfast
Fantastic location and nice staff. Very clean and handy to get a complimentary breakfast in the morning.
Very tired decor in the room not much space. Everyone was lined up on single beds and you would roll over in your bed and almost be on top of the person beside you. Bunk beds would be a better option to utilize the space. A little bit pricey for what you got.
Nothing! This place is simply disgusting
It's dirty, gross, the mattress was at least 30 years old. It's smelly and the girl at the reception is rude. Toilets are smelly. Breakfast was with coffee powder and only cheap and unhealthy bread. DONT GO HERE, unless you wanna get a disease!!!
Location, nice and clean bathroom
No elevator, no tv in room
It had four walls and a roof. The bed itself wasn't uncomfortable.
No reciprocal smile from Reception on arrival and not very friendly. Four moth-holes in worn duvet cover. Water glass left on sink with an inch of water still in it (therefore presumably not clean). Pokey little room, but then I was prepared for that given the economic price. Thank goodness it was only for one night. I spent as long as possible in the restaurant for dinner to put off returning. Didn't try breakfast as I just wanted to get out of there. I was trying to be economical in my choice, but this was a step too far for me.
Bargain price Friendly staff
Front door lock a little difficult but only a minor issue
- location - kitchen - free breakfast - free wi-fi - we got a room with our own bathroom what was really nice
- place is a bit old, should be renovated - very small kitchen but if you really want, will manage to cook your food - hotel could have some useful things to rent like adapter for uk socket etc.
As a Hostel is great. No bunk beds, clean shared facilities, very quiet (no party hostel) Fair breakkie Nice an quiet area
poor WIFI maybe too quiet A bit mouldy the ceilings of the showers No much going on around, not many place to eat No staff from 11pm
Location is excellent, good for solo travellers like I was
quite close to where we wanted to go.
No tea and coffee making facilities. no television. Very poor breakfast.
Staff - too opinionated and not professional, they're too focused on long term guests staying at the hotel and do not offer the same service to short term guests. Food - stale Kitchen - Very dirty and smells like rotting food Toilets - not working, paint peeling from ceiling and showers trickle water Place needs a full refurbishment, there's damp everywhere. Mattresses need changing, couldn't sleep because the springs had gone, causing discomfort. Staff speak in their native language about guests, thinking they're not understood, but they were Internet is the worst ever, keeps dropping in and out
Everything was ok, comfy, clean and spacious room, good value for money.
Poor breakfast (toast and cereal). We were in the basement and in the early morning it was very noisy outside.
The location and price.
When I came I found my bad in a mess and not clean. I had to do it my self.
-Our luggage was gone, another guest took it, while front office stored it for us -Room without a window -Terrible beds (you could feel the feathers) -breakfast was terrible
Breakfast include but they had only toast bread, butter, jam, drinks. For me really weak breakfast
Location and value for money. Lovely view from room. Lovely, perfectly clean bathroom. Room cleaned and towels changed daily. Nice breakfast. Good travel information available
No sound proofing between rooms. No explanation for fire alarm when we were evacuated at 1:15am. No clear staff representative at this time
Unfriendly staff Wall paper hanging off the walls next to the bed No tea making facilities in bedroom Nowhere to sit at breakfast and to be told to sit in the lounge with breakfast on our knees! Dirty hotel Showers not working even though I left it running for 15 minutes as told by the receptionist to get the water up to the very top floor! No lift to get you to the top floor! This hotel was a disgrace and makes booking.com look like a very unreliable booking source
