Nice staff. An adequate room space for the price specified. I have booked a double room, but was given a triple room.
The reception is located on the basement floor and can be reached only by stairs. It is not very comfortable to do with a heavy luggage.
Location is very good since it is close to the underground station.
The light is not that good.
lack of warm water in the bathroom that happened one evening (we were there for two nights)
5 min walk to the subway large room with 4 beds
no tv. you have to wait before a table is free if you don't go first for breakfast. The restroom window would not close so I was happy to be in hot septembre week-end because I iamgine you would freeze in winter time
location,very good wifi, price
everything else. Very gloomy and dirty reception next to the dining room which smells awful. I would not dare to take any breakfast there. Room walls, windows, the closet all need refurbishment. If you afford little money and want just an overnight stay you may think to book it.I would prefer to find some other more expensive place that respects the client.
Room was clean, basic . Breakfast was good. It's about 3 minutes from glouster road station.
Lugging suitcases up and down the stairs
Location was excellent: shops, restaurants, and tube station very close by. I was impressed with the bathroom - appeared to have been recently updated... BUT...
A lack of hot water all week made showers unbearable. The room was clean, but very tired and tatty. The halls and stairs also need a lot of love. Wifi was hit and miss. I spent more time using a local wifi hot spot. Breakfast served at 8am, which Is just a little too late if you're here on business.
the room is too small, and too shabby，not clean.
the two ladies handling the reception is very accomodating and pleasing. she will help you figure out things if a new comer or you are first timer in london.the free breakfast is good enough for the money you paid to stay in this hostel.
i stayed in a 5 bed room. the space is so small for 5 people to sleep. the beds are closely paralleled from each other, u can hear the snoring, sigh of breath of your room mates. you dont have a cabinet to place your things. the toilet and shower rooms are small and separately located. i need to go out of the room to have myself relieved at night..but the comfort rooms are clean though.
Clean bedding and towel. Good kitchen facilities. Good shower facilities
Traffic noisey outside window. No WiFi. Light pulls in shower rooms black with dirt.
Location and the fair rate
There should be TV in the room
Relatively peaceful garden square setting. No noise from other rooms when I was there. Quite a small number of rooms, inc. some dorm rooms, I think, so surprised by the peace of the place. Problem with my room door lock sorted promptly
No television in room No over mirror light in bedroom, difficult for shaving
The location for me was perfect as I had lots of luggage and was easy to get to from earls court underground.
The beds were uncomfortable you can feel each spring through the mattress, only one toilet to share between so many people. Toilets were not checked for cleanliness during stay as mess all over seat and had run out of toilet paper.
Staff very nice, bed clean & comfy.
Between ground & 2nd floor there are 9 rooms (some with 5 beds) and I could only locate 2 toilets and 2 showers - definitely inadequate! Whole place in need of redecoration.
- easy to get from Heathrow - close to Underground and Hyde Park - windows overlooking small park - clean
- poor unstable wi-fi - flat pillows - poor water pressure in shower - lots of stairs to room on 3rd floor for our heavy luggage
Location was ok. Bed was comfy.
The whole place was shabby, I could see they had tried to improve it but it has a way to go yet. Bathroom poorly finished & hot water a bit hit & miss. Didn't feel very secure as yale lock couldn't be double locked. No tv or tea making facilities in rooms.
Great location and very centrally located to a lot of great places. Walking distance to a number of museums and galleries. Staff was very friendly
The only real complaints I have had to deal with stairs, can't be helped and a slight lack of water pressure in original room.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Location and price
There was a fire alarm and evacuation at 1:25 am. There was chaos as there were no staff on site and we had to wait half an hour for the owner to arrive and let us back into our room.
If one person upstairs starts using water early morning, your sleep is bothered by the noise of water conduit. Not bothered by your room mates snoring or sleepwalking on the same floor.
The place could use a little tlc
I liked the locatio (it's really close to the metro station) and quiet. I liked that there were breakfast and wifi included and it was just a great choice.
If you're travelling alone and you have a lot of luggage it might be hard for you to get to the reception since the stairs are so uneasy to walk.
Friendly staff greeted me with a mile, the booking system worked perfectly, even with my late evening booking in. A simple DIY breakfast was provided, and the small tidy bedroom had a clean, comfortable bed
We were given a larger room than we had booked. Lovely to have space in London. It was clean and quiet and you could make a hot drink whenever you wanted one.
Breakfast was a bit of a scrum, more like a hostel but the food was plentiful.
Freedom could go in and out as and when, shared bathroom and toilets were not a problem as there were plenty of them, we would definitely go back again
We are in our 70's and were on the 3rd floor which was 68 steps and we had single beds which we will not want next time, this was through us booking too late
