City centre location. Really good value for money. Very clean, modern room with lovely bathroom. Friendly, helpful staff. An ideal choice if you want a value-for-money hotel in town. Lack of parking, but it's made up for by a healthy discount through the hotel (24hr secure parking for £6.50 as opposed to £16).

The location was great . The lift was out of order and we was staying on the top floor. There was also a bad smell which seemed to b coming up from the drains in the bathroom . Other than this there was no problem .

Easy walk from railway station and despite a very central location was tucked away and quiet. Reception staff were pleasant and helpful. The tv in my room didn't work properly and there was no remote control unit. I was given a remote after phoning reception but it didn't work either - presumably flat batteries. Would have been better if the staff member had checked before leaving the room. I gave up! Would have liked more toiletries and more milk provided with the tea tray.

That it was quiet, well-organized with good room facilities. Maybe the price could have been a bit cheaper according to the facilities.

Have stayed there many times before and have always been greeted well and looked after properly. Every time I stay there is always one item that needs attention but that does not deter me from returning as it is always quickly attended to.

Location, price Lift not working, tv did not work so I was eventually moved to another room after being told there were none available. This took at least half an hour when it could have taken 5 mins. Still enjoyed my stay tho.

The room decor was lovely. The location was central. The woman serving breakfast was very helpful, friendly and enthusiastic. The noise on the small narrow street around 6am was awful - street cleaning of some kind. The false fire alarm at 6.45am one morning had all guests out in the stairwell / lobby. We were told the alarm was triggered by a very hot shower. That fault in the system should be fixed. It was disappointing that some small token such as a small chocolate, or a bottle of spring water, was not left in each bedroom later that morning as a gesture of good will for a faulty alarm system. The breakfast room is very dark, and the option of a Continental or English breakfast is not clear on the menu. The friendly helpful woman serving breakfast spoke so loudly that all other guests would know exactly what your breakfast choice or dietary requirements were. The woman at check-in was a bit dismissive and did not have any information on the tram to the university, although the hotel was one of the chosen hotels for the conference I was attending. Amazingly and disappointingly, the television in the room did not have bbc or Channel 4 - only cnn and some other rubbishy low quality American channels. Why not have a British channel in a British hotel?

The only downside was noise from the alley - apparently two nights in a row, a group of youths gathered on the steps of the opposite building and they were laughing loudly. Next time I book there, I will ask for a room on the inner part. Apart from this, everything was fine.

This is a very nice hotel with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff arriving late a night finding the hotel involved walking down some dark streets and back alleys which was less than comfortable. Once there it is possible to navigate through the better lit parts of town.

The staff were very helpful - they really wanted to make us comfortable. The bed was comfortable and the coloured glass wall was very attractive. Although it is in the middle of the city it is quite quiet at night so we slept well. The lift was slow to arrive, so we had to wait about quite a lot. Just occasionally the plumbing was rather noisy. The windows were quite hard to open when it was hot, as they were very high.

Location brilliant. It is off a little alley way but easy enough to find. Nice enough staff Great value room. I was lucky enough to get upgraded though. I was there on a freakish hot day so the room was a little warm and loud outside with windows open. But I don't think most people need to be worried about that reoccurring in Sheffield! I chose the place becuase of free wifi. They had a lot of problems with wifi in the lobby. It is best to get a room on the 4th floor, as it has a separate wifi to the lobby.
