Cwmbach Guest House  

I could not fault the hospitality of the host, for whom absolutely nothing was too much trouble. I have seldom had such attentive (but unobtrusive) service and attention in four and five star hotels, and would be delighted to recommend Cwmbach to anyone wanting a peaceful, stress free break in a pretty location.

The hotel room is very clean. The environment around is so nice that it feels like live in a forest. The ower was very nice to tell us where to visit and which restaurant should go. It is the best worthable hotel in the UK I have been.

Lawrence is a very personable host and looked after us really well throughout our brief stay Great location and setting;warm welcome; comfortable and spacious room; breakfast to die for!

Good location just outside of Neath, close to Waterfall Country Very friendly and obliging owner. Quiet. Comfortable, spacious room. Lounge area and fridge available.

The Owner was brilliant giving us advice and even maps for the best walks in the area. Breakfast was also very good as is the food in the Crown and Sceptre down the road. There is even a series of excellent walks from the guest house around Neath golf course

The room was beautifully furnished and the facilities excellent. Everything was very clean. The breakfast was delicious and the host was courteous and very helpful. Although only a few minutes' drive from the busy town of Neath, the Cwmbach seemed to be in another world.

Very helpfull owner, nothing was too much trouble for him. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Set in a nice location.

The scenery was spectacular. The hosts were great. Lawrence helped us track down family tree places and supplied maps. The room was large with bay window, large bathroom and separate toilet. Breakfast was also good. The other guests were great fun. There is also a great pub at the bottom of the hill, The Crown at Sceptre. Try the Welsh Lamb Shanks. If we did not think we could make it back up the hill, the host said to give him a call and he would come and get us. We actually enjoyed the walk back up but it was nice to have back up. One day we walked to the Aberjulais Falls. Would definitely stay here again.

This is not a complaint, just advice. Remember to hire a narrow car - it is nestled in the hills!!

Friendly clean and the staff were very helpful

We found lawrence to be very friendly, we had a lovely room it was very quite, we will recomment cwmbach to other travellers.

The lodge part of the hotel a short distance away from the actual guest house was where I stayed for the one night was quiet and peaceful, perfect as I was in the area on a business trip and the need to work into the evening on my laptop computer went undisturbed.
