Good hospitality from owner. Nothing seemed to much for him.

Bit of a hill to get to in the winter.

We liked the large bedroom and wet room, the lovely garden and views. The breakfast was ample and as healthy as you wished, nicely cooked. Lawrence was very attentive and helpful.

Sometimes we felt that Lawrence was a little too attentive and maybe a bit more space to make our own minds up would have been better. But he was lovely!

Enjoyed the friendliness of the host. Liked the fact of being in amongst all the trees in the valley.

Not very important, but the taps in the basin were not secured - they were loose, as was the toilet seat. As I am tall and have just had a hip replacement, I missed a 5' 0" bed in width, and longer length (6'6")

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cwmbach guest house. We stayed in one of the beautiful cottages, beautiful decor, beautiful location and fantastic facilities. Great place to stay with small children as the bedroom is separate to the living area, therefore meaning we could put our child to bed and then have an evening together. Lovely breakfast up in the guest house, the owner is friendly, helpful and has great local knowledge. Giving us great ideas of places to visit with our son. A very enjoyable stay, can't recommend highly enough. We will be returning

The staff were very open and helpful. The decked area was very nice with a mature garden, will be even better in a year when the new pond is planted and stocked. It's a good place to explore the area from. The guest house very quiet with solid walls, so minimal noise from other guests. Although a small group of cottages the feel of secludedness was the greatest appeal, with the location on the top of the hill surrounded by woodland. The food was also very good, not the usual grease covered cooked breakfast, but actually cooked very, very well.

When we arrived there was a strong damp smell in the dining room and lounge, I opened the window in the hall upstairs and the dining room and the next morning it was fine. No one closed them again and a little ventilation made the stay much more pleasant. Sorry

We were given a spacious appartment with private outside deck. Local pub serves great food and supermarket is nearby. Nice and helpful host. The steep hill did not bother us. In return you get great views.

No Wifi at the lodge only in main house. To get hot water you had to press a switch outside the appartment in a public area. Not handy when you want to shower in the morning.

I was happy with my room, it was a little cramped, my bed was located very close to the door but overall the room was comfortable, the service was of a high standard and the breakfast was very nice in the morning.

Parking is a little cramped. My only gripe, was the noise, the walls are paper thin and you can hear people talking in other rooms, people moving about on the stairs, T.V noise from other peoples rooms.

Liked the surroundings, the water garden, outside appearance of cottages, spacious accommodation. Lovely breakfasts. Great views of Neath. Convenient to Swansea where our business was. Altogether a great place to stay, and Lawrence is a lovely host!

There was nothing negative about Cwmbach Guest house.

The very welcoming and helpful host The great location between the Afan valley and the brecon beacon, as well as 10mins away from many waterfalls

The bed was very poor (small and could feel the springs when lying down) There was a slight smell of damp in the dining room - probably due to the fact that the weather is often rainy.

Everything about this guest house was superlative. Our room (Glas = blue) was immaculate, light and airy. It had a very comfortable bed, tea and coffee facilities with plenty of biscuits, excellent reading lights and a beautiful bath/shower room. I cannot praise the establishment highly enough. The breakfast provided was plentiful and freshly prepared. Nothing was too much trouble for our host to make our stay as pleasant as he possibly could. I can only give Cwmbach 10/10 and a gold star!!

There is absolutely no fault to find with Cwmbach.
