The setting is lovely, and your always made to feel at home, nothing is too much hassle and if there is a problem like the hot water off one morning, as soon as we reported it, they dealt with it promptly. Much better to let them know straight away so they can put it right. We were very satisfied and will be visiting again as we have done over the years.
The food was superb, it was so friendly and always most entertaining in the bar in the evenings. And, of course, there was the wonderful badger-watching - what a treat that was! A fantastic place - a real find!
everything 100% asante sana
location, food, hospitality Vicky and Roy are the perfect hosts, very informative and interesting they made us very welcome loved it all
Sorry to see some of the trees had fallen in bad gales in January, and had just been left, but that was nothing to do with the Country House.
A very friendly & welcoming hotel where nothing was too much trouble. Good food and comfortable atmosphere. Lovely to see the foxes & badgers in the garden every evening. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Old fashioned Country house in need of some renovation but what you see is what you get-it has a lot of charm. Very friendly proprietors and staff--well worth a visit! The badger watch was special. The food is excellent.
Nothing to dislike.
Food, location, silence at night, gardens, very close to Saundersfoot, good bar atmosphere, pretty room with lovely view.
Having to leave.
Great food at very reasonable prices. Also plenty of it unlike some hotels these days.
Friendly staff and nice atmosphere in the evening Really good food Badger watching Dogs around but no smell and not intrusive
Initial impression Tired decor in parts
The owners and staff were all very friendly and made everyone extremely comfortable, even the dogs. The food was excellent with a choice of menus. We will definitely be returning.
The decor was a little dated but was more than compensated by the staff and food.
Superb food and approachability & wamth of owners.
Countryside, wildlife just outside bar window (badgers feeding) friendly people.
Bit hard to find.
The location, the owners and staff, the badgers, a wonderful place, very friendly, quiet and relaxing, would definatly go back. All the people staying had been more than once, thats down to the owners vicki n roy, who were great
The mattress was to soft and an ashtray on the balcony hadnt been emptied..nothing major and if i had mentioned it, it would probably have been sorted,
Being able to take our dod. The woodlands around are ideal for walking dogs.
What was there not to like!
Good location and nice food
Place needs updating and not very clean
Good food, friendly staff and badgers!
Entrance looked shabby Dogs in bedrooms
Hosts always available nothing to much trouble. Excellent food, hot well presented tastes as good as it looks A truly friendly, totally relaxing stay
Food put out very night for foxes and badgers. Was great to see them
Walls very thin. Could hear neighbours in toilet and shower. Children playing in bar at night until 11 pm
Rooms were clean and comfortable. The dog was welcomed. Good choice and well cooked breakfast.
Good nights sleep in a comfy bed. Hot shower and ran towels. Breakfast choice excellent presented beautifully. Food lovely although coffee and tea had a strange taste which may have been the water.
Taste of coffee and tea bad. Dated and too bright decor. Needed some tlc as paving slabs moved outside and general maintenance needed to the property. Looked tired with too much wood chip and loud colours. Smell of dogs too.
Very friendly, watched the badgers being fed. Good breakfast, comfortable clean rooms.
Excellent breakfast - more choice and variety and better quality than I'd expected from a B&B this size and price
Walls very thin, could hear everything in next bedroom
The setting was great - drive through the woods. Short walk into Saundersfoot was ok. Breakfast was delicious and nice to see range of cooked options such as eggs benedict, eggs royale etc
Hotel was excessively 'dog orientated'. Other guests had dogs in their rooms which barked at us when we went past and in the bar on our first night there were 4 large dogs who were 'playful' according to the owners - bit scary to me. Didn't go to the bar on subsequent evenings.
Comfortable accommodation with a nice view. Good bathroom and excellent food. Also enjoyed the badger watching. Owners where honest about the pricing.
Couldn't get wifi in our room although it is available elsewhere. Decor is a little tired in places.
