Roy and Vicky are both very easy people to get on with. Lovely hotel in lovely surroundings, Saundersfoot down the road, Tenby round the corner.
Breakfast room was exceptional and excellent service with food first class
Overwhelming and all pervasive odour of curry. Food hygiene rating of 3.
The room was very dated very tired. The breakfast even though there was lots of choice was very badly executed. The mushrooms on our welsh breakfast were black, which means they were very old, rubbery and unedible. I hope my comments are used to improve it there as it really is in a lovely location.
The location was excellent Very quiet and peaceful.
Lousy tv reception in room (it was the final weekend of the 6 Nations Rugby!)
Badgers, food, company
I could take my dog without having to go self-catering. The food was AMAZING. Wonderful to watch badgers feeding in the garden.
No wifi reception in bedroom, OK in bar.
Easy to find, handy for Tenby & Saundersfoot. Very dog friendly, but still clean. Plenty of grounds for dog walking. Excellent food.
Bedroom was slightly awkwardly shaped. Not all dogs get on well.
I liked the comfy bed, the personal feel of the place, the badgers, the food, location, goats and really nice food
general décor tired.porch entrance to hotel dirty.rooms badly need redecorating and updating.double room very small. lack of shower gel and shampoo in bathroom.
set in swallow tree woods very pretty, with view down to the sea waitress at breakfast very friendly and helpful
Poor decoration inside and outside wasn't clean, paths not swept windows not cleaned, generally quite scruffy
The dining room was the nicest room, and the breakfast was excellent
Great location. Lovely house and very friendly!!
The double beds are a bit small as is the case with most places in the UK. Twin bed options are available.
Food is on par with the finest places in the UK. Breakfast and dinner are both outstanding and better than anything you can get locally. Bar is cozy with a fireplace, dogs, and friendly conversations. Great hikes available along the coastal path and on the beach at low tide
State of the road/drive to venue
Tranquillity and quietness
The setting is lovely, and your always made to feel at home, nothing is too much hassle and if there is a problem like the hot water off one morning, as soon as we reported it, they dealt with it promptly. Much better to let them know straight away so they can put it right. We were very satisfied and will be visiting again as we have done over the years.
The food was superb, it was so friendly and always most entertaining in the bar in the evenings. And, of course, there was the wonderful badger-watching - what a treat that was! A fantastic place - a real find!
everything 100% asante sana
Sorry to see some of the trees had fallen in bad gales in January, and had just been left, but that was nothing to do with the Country House.
location, food, hospitality Vicky and Roy are the perfect hosts, very informative and interesting they made us very welcome loved it all
A very friendly & welcoming hotel where nothing was too much trouble. Good food and comfortable atmosphere. Lovely to see the foxes & badgers in the garden every evening. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Nothing to dislike.
Old fashioned Country house in need of some renovation but what you see is what you get-it has a lot of charm. Very friendly proprietors and staff--well worth a visit! The badger watch was special. The food is excellent.
Having to leave.
Food, location, silence at night, gardens, very close to Saundersfoot, good bar atmosphere, pretty room with lovely view.
Great food at very reasonable prices. Also plenty of it unlike some hotels these days.
Initial impression Tired decor in parts
Friendly staff and nice atmosphere in the evening Really good food Badger watching Dogs around but no smell and not intrusive
The decor was a little dated but was more than compensated by the staff and food.
The owners and staff were all very friendly and made everyone extremely comfortable, even the dogs. The food was excellent with a choice of menus. We will definitely be returning.
Superb food and approachability & wamth of owners.
Bit hard to find.
Countryside, wildlife just outside bar window (badgers feeding) friendly people.
