Location, location, location. Literally a minute from St Pancras/Kings Cross Station. Couldn't ask for more. Excellent breakfast too.
Was on the top (third) floor and it was hot and with the window open, noisy from passing traffic.
We were really impressed with the friendly welcome
Location of hotel very good, with the station close by. Aswell as various pubs and shops in the area. Rooms are very clean and well kept, with good ensuite bathrooms.
The rooms can get a little too warm at night, even with the window open. Would be much preffered if breakfast stayed on till later than 9am
Clean, quiet, helpful staff. Great breakfasts. Extra pillows and a fan! Did I say clean!
Very tiny twin room barely space to walk around with our suit cases and beds. Shower curtain was cloth and allowed water to shoot out. Bathroom was very wet after short shower, needs better vent fan.
Affordable. Practically on kings cross doorstep. Staff were helpful and there was a family feel to the place. Breakfast was okay but a bit 1970's with instant coffee etc.
Instant coffee - 3 floor walk up to the room. Good for my legs!
The location was really convenient for Kings Cross and St Pancras so commuting around London and to Gatwick Airport was quite easy. The staff on the front desk were very friendly and helpful.
The room was very basic and very small.
It is located in front of St Pancras station, which makes it to be connected with the rest of the city by tube, bus or taxi. It's perfect. The breakfast is full and tasty. The staff is polite and helpful.
There is no lift. The bathroom and the room in general was tiny. The breakfast room has space for five tables of four or five people, so sometimes it is necessary to share a table with someone else.
Great location, easy acces
Narrow room, better for single traveller
Very close to King's Cross/St Pancras yet no problem with noise in our rooms, which were towards to back of the hotel. Waitress in breakfast room extremely polite and helpful. We were already aware that the rooms were fairly small, but for the price and the location this was not a problem. We were able to leave cases at reception before checking in and after checking out, which meant we could make the most of our time in London.
The location of the hotel is superb, the appearance of the common areas and reception are the epitome of modernity and the price was pretty good too.
Bedroom was really just a simple box room, the background noise was unavoidable with single glazing, but the dealbreaker is breakfast which is cooked prior and then reheated - this practice does not instil confidence and breakfast was abandoned to avoid being made ill.
The location was great- I took the train from Scotland and was at the hotel minutes after I got off the train. The wifi was consistent. Could leave luggage there for the day in the main entryway which seemed fairly secure.
Staff wasn't especially friendly or helpful- I don't find it possible to pack for a month of travel across a variety of climates and settings in a small suitcase so commenting on packing light while I'm getting my large suitcase up to the top floor is unhelpful. I've stayed in single rooms before and so expect quarters to be tight but this was ridiculous. The room next to me kept managing to blow out the fuse, causing half the electric in my room to also fail. The doors are impossible to close quietly, and since the shower and bathroom are down the hall, doors open and close regularly. Next time I'm in London I'll go back to one of the hotels near Paddington.
The room seemed recently refurbished and very clean. We were surprised to get a full English breakfast - very welcome when travelling a distance. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. So handy for St Pancras station. Will stay there again.
Had to wait for breakfast on 2nd visit but that could have been because it was bank holiday Monday and people had a lie in!
fantastic location clean and neat room friendly & helpfull staff
breakfast area was a bit cramped
The bed was comfortable. The room was clean. The shower was good. Quiet through the night.
The Breakfast was Ok but not enough for an adult. Cramped conditions in the room & bathroom. The dining area was a joke, 33rooms and only seating 23, we had to wait on the stairs until spaces came free. Then they rushed you through breakfast so they could seat other people.
Location great, staff very helpful, plenty of complimentary tea, coffee etc
Bathroom wasn't the cleanest, very cramped, we stayed in a triple family room an felt very claustrophobic, no travel cots provided which meant there were 3 of us in a double bed so was a bad nights sleep. Breakfast time a bit of a farce, had to wait on the stairs til there was a free table, breakfast was simple but tasty, felt pressured to hurry it when we were being overlooked by queuing guests as our table was next to the door.
location locatin location
nothing its clean and a good breakfast
Right next to Kings Cross Train station. Clean with wash basin in the room. Full English breakfast was tasty, and served very quickly.
Shared toilet. Room was very small, but fine for 1 night.
Great location near St Pancs and the tube. OK breakfast
Room was small
Location was brilliant. So convenient for train. Great friendly staff. Good breakfast.
Very small room. Tiny shower room.
So close to st pancras st , good breakfast , but wish u didn't have to cue up for so long for to eat ...rather hot rooms , but really lovely staff
Tiny breakfast room & it Closes too early ... Tiny steep stairs Very little bed Smelly bathrooms
the proximity to Kings Cross and St Pancras, also open top bus that i had pre booked and was outside St Pancras
Our room was in the lower basement and was tiny and boiling, they did give us a fan.
An excellent location: 100m easy walk across the road from King's Cross- St. Pancras Stn. Staff were excellent: all were very friendly, polite and very helpful. Breakfast was a good quality 'full English breakfast' which saw me through the day. The room was small, but I guess to be expected in an older, central city hotel. There was tea/ coffee facilities, but alas, no mini fridge which could have fitted in one corner.
Stairs were narrow... and to the 3rd floor with no lift. Toilet and shower were in separate rooms and were shared facilities, though fortunately no queues for either.
The hotel is very close to the King's Cross station.
The ventilation of the room is poor.
Friendly and helpful staff. Good value for money. Honest description.
Our family room was really small. No where to put our bags.
