Peace and quiet Only 2 things-firstly the very distinctive smell of dog when entering the hotel and secondly it stated private balcony,it was 1 huge balcony shared with about 6 rooms and when you have a inquisitive 18 month old its not very easy!

The staff were very friendly and made you feel welcome. The hotel was very clean. We slept over the bar at the front and on the Sunday night of our stay the owners allowed a girls football team to stay at the hotel for sandwiches and a drink these girls were waiting for a ferry to Ireland so stayed only from 10pm to 1am but the noise they made was horrendous. The rest of the time the hotel was relativeley quiet even though the R.A.f base was close by, and the jets did not seem to fly before 10am and caused more interest than disturbance.

This has to be a four star hotel . Well laid out ,spotlessly clean , very comfortable and friendly . The staff are customer friendly and when a small problem arose the owner was on the spot to get everything dealt with without delay .

Very comfortable hotel. Rooms very well furnished. Clean, fresh and staff very helpful. Food good and good bar service. We have stayed at this hotel three times and on two of them they were was no television service in our room. We did tell them and they told us they was a problem. I suspect there was difficulty with the service but they didn't acknowledge this problem. Although they listened to us they didn't do anything about it. On the whole this is a very pleasant hotel and we will stay there again, hoping that the television service works this time.

Pleasant surroundings & interior. No fuss or pressures. Nice & modern, well looked after by caring, friendly staff. We were surprised by the quality in an area where we would have expected less. Loved the location to sea front & nature walks The food was, I'm afraid, only average - not because of portions which were generous - but presentation could have been better. As an example the cheese board was rather slapdash to the eye & because of that rather off putting. This is not a complaint but constructive critism

The people were very pleasant and were helpful. Bathroom flooded too easily. Not enough storage for travelers that are carrying a lot of baggage due to the length of their trip. Not enough towels in the bathroom.

The room was too small. Not enough room for suitecases. We were in what they call 'The Lodge' which is a seperate building from the main part of the Hotel. We had 2 windows facing out onto the car park. Being on the ground floor and no netting on the windows, we had no privacy from people walking thru the car park unless we pulled the blinds down. Large spotlight on the opposite wall to one of our windows, to light up the car park, also lit up our room for most of the night. Shower curtain too short and therefore bathroom floor got very wet as there was no lip on the base to stop water. Breakfast was cold

The hotel was lovely, quiet but very relaxing which was the reason behind the weekend break away. The two things I would count as a negative as, firstly, a bit more information regarding the times, locations and stops of the local bus. Secondly, a shop for essentials nearby wouldn't go to waste

The hotel was clean and the standard double room was spacious. The food in the restaurant in the evening was excellent. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The self-service breakfast was a fiasco. Everyone milling about not really knowing what they were doing. The orange juicer should be confined to the bin and jugs of juice provided. The toasting machine should also be confined to the bin and the chef should do all toast. The drinks machine likewise. For £95.00 a night I do not expect to have to partially cook my own breakfast! The roller blins in the bedrooms prohibit being able to open a window due to the metal bar across the base of them clanging repeatedly. These two points will stop us returning..
