Lively place, close to centre, but tucked away - good as a base for enjoying Liverpool and its nightlife. Comfortable room, with good facilities.
Room a little claustrophobic, as it was in a windowless basement.
Nice and Quiet
Good central location within walking distance of most attractions. Some nice bars and restaurants just round the corner with free entertainment like the Sounds bar.
Night porters attitude behind the bar when he gave my wrong drink
Lovely little boutique hotel.
Lovely cosy room, fantastic value for mong. Great location - loved it
Cleaner didn't change the bed
Really awesome location just a minute away from everything. Staff were very friendly, gave good service and it was really easy to check in. The price is great.
The room was a bit small and we were put in the basement with no windows, but to be fair, we checked in 4 hours early and they just changed the room for us so we could drop our stuff off. Would have been nice to have been asked if we don't mind the basement though.
location, staff, cleanliness, price were all good, even the bar wasn't over-priced
mattress uncomfortable in pod 102 (but my friends in 103 and 104 slept well), just unlucky i guess
Friendly and helpfull staff very clean and tidy hotel
'Pod-like' rooms equates to small, cuboidal rooms with just enough room to fit a double bed and a tiny shelving unit in - that's is all that is provided. The description does state that there are no windows in the rooms (but air conditioning is provided), we did not realise this but it is worth considering. The size and shape of the room plus the lack of natural light or fresh air was quite claustrophobic. The fact that the hotel's rooms are beneath ground level also amplifies this. The Hotel's reception area also serves as a bar, which is open '24 hours', and which led in part to our sleepless night - thanks to other patrons running up and down the stairs and shouting all night. At £99 for one night we felt cheated - however the details are all in the description, so I advise other customers to read carefully.
The rooms were very clean and well equiped. The staff were very friendly and helpful.. We all had a great stay and we'll definitely be back!
Rooms clean and the staff were very friendly indeed I would stay again, also many thanks to the day and night staff who bend over backwards helping to make our stay a nice one
Nothing, all was absolutely brilliant many thanks pod works.......,
The Podworks Hotel was conveniently situated, we were able to walk to al main attractions from there- station- theatres, Albert docs, museums, restaurants, cafés, station etc. Very quiet in room and we slept really well, good shower and loo. very good value for money too and staff were friendly and helpful.
the location was not on the best street ! But cannot blame the hotel as it was work in progress on the building opposite. This will be remedied when this work is over.
Nice bathroom and good bed mattress.
My kettle was rusted inside. Air con played up. Free Wifi was patchy (ok in the afternoon, non existant in the evening and the next morning). No windows, claustrophobic.
staff were very friendly and the room was very clean would definitely stay there again
get a bit loud throughout the night with people coming in from night outs but that didn't bother us might bother others though
Excelent bed, good central position. Good hotel if you are out all day and return ar night just for sleep. Also it is good if you work at nigjt and want to sleep during day.
No window, just air conditioning system in my room.
Great location for easy walking distance to Albert Dock and the city centre. Clean and comfortable rooms and friendly staff.
All the rooms are underground therefore no windows. I'd failed to spot this on the website before booking and was pretty freaked out by it at first, but it was clean, comfortable and airy.
good central location but street not very nice.
Shower didn't shut properly and shower head kept sliding down. No chairs to sit on in room. Bed up high so had to climb up into it. Noisy in night due to 24hr bar. Entering hotel had to get past all the smokers as no area for them except on street. Very expensive for what you got.
Compact room with a good bathroom: the shower unit was very spacious.
Amazingly there was no shaver socket in the bathroom. A couple of coathooks on the room door would be useful, I had to hang my coat in the bathroom.
great location, off duke street near to liverpool one
far far too small, there really isnt enough room for both of you to be standing at the same time! it really is that tiny! realistically to rooms together would have been a more acceptable space!
The bed was comfortable Everywhere was clean Staff were really friendly Good location Very safe and secure
Place was great, best bed I ever slept in, extremely comfy, 24hr bar,
Lack of car park but there is a car park across the road for £6 a day
It was only a few mins walk from every attraction and a cheap car park on the next street Has a 24 hr bar n attendants were very friendly
No complaints , didn't have a window but that dosnt really effect your stay
All very good more choice with food.
Not enough plugs in the room n NO hot chocolate.
Good value accommodation for an overnight stay in Liverpool city centre. Within walking distance of the city centre shops, bars and restaurants. Comfortable bed. Good TV and wifi.
