Loved the design and feel of the hotel - uber stylish, yet unstuffy! Cocktails very very wicked!

My husband didn't find the bed very comfortable, and the hair dryer in our room was pathetic - wouldn't dry your hair in the Sahara!

Great decor, good polite staff, quiet rooms and beautiful reception/bar areas.

Desk being in front of window. Blocks the stunning view of rail bridge and as sockets are behind the desk they are awkward to get to. Shame also about the stains on carpet and down back of room door. Minor issues but easily sorted.

The staff at Dakota Edinburgh are trained to an exceptional level. In particular the bar and restaurant staff go out of their way to make your experience memorable.

Confusion over wifi in room vs wifi in common areas of hotel. Impossible to connect whilst in room.

Just like to say ThankYou for our stay was lovely and the staff were very helpful and friendly. There was one slight problem we stayed in room 419 and was woken up a few times through out the night with what sounded like a clunking noise near the window area. Just thought I would draw your attention to it as it wasn't very pleasant and my girlfriend kept thinking someone was in the room. Thank you for our stay, it was really nice but thought you would appreciate the feedback. Thanks Steven

I'd come again in a minute but was kept awake all night due to this banging noise. I assume this won't happen in every room but thought you should try and rectify the problem. We were there for a little break as we have been very busy the last few months so pretty disappointed with being kept awake all night.

Large room. Very comfy bed. Quiet. Great check-in experience. Good quality toiletries. I ordered room service and the burger was as tasty a thing as I have eaten in quite a while.

Clunky wi-fi. House wine seriously over-priced. I suspect that the next door Tesco will do a good trade!

Room was a good size and warm. Reception welcoming and tidy. Staff very polite and immaculately dressed.

Not sure if this was just our room but the bathroom had living aids in it, shower seat toilet rail etc which crowed the space. The sink in the bathroom was stained.

Great service, beautiful decor and detail. High quality interior. Great bar with knowledgeable staff - I watched the barman make an old-school champagne cocktail that my grandfather would have been proud of. Excellent value for money compared to other Edinburgh hotels of a similar quality. The restaurant is fab too.

Couldn't link to the wifi, despite phoning reception for codes. It's in a strange location in a car park next to a Tesco - but don't let that put you off, it's an oasis inside.

As we live in Fife and wanted to catch up with friends from Glasow the Dakota was ideally placed for us both. Not only was the hotel very comfortable but the food was good too.

Fantastic stay, my partner n I travelled in our car, there is free parking on site.About a 15/20 minute drive to edinburgh town centre. Ensure you plan a full day in edinburgh city centre rather than going back and forth. Theres a frankie and bennys opposite hotel and a tescos along with a tescos petrol station and a burger king and maccy Ds close by. Room was spacious, clean and bathroom was modern and clean. staff were welcoming and the breakfast was amazing, dinner at hotel alittle pricey but still nice.overall wpuld definately recommend but have a car x

Great location for Maid of the Forth Cruise, less than 5 minute drive. Definitely recommend the hotel as a place to stay as the room was clean and spacious, and the staff were friendly and polite.

Room and bathroom layout excellent, staff very helpful, location was great

Short of light bulbs, everything in low light mode. Everywhere seemed dark.Travelling by motorcycle there was no covered/secure parking. The shower controls for off and on was strange, at one point I could not turn it off. Lack of snacks in the bar.
