We loved everything about the Dakota. Very clean and spacious rooms. Staff very friendly and happy to help. The food is definitely 5 stars, absolutely amazing! We arranged to have rose petals scattered on our bed whilst we were in the restaurant for a touch of romance, when we came back to the room there were petals on the bed, luxury chocolates and 'smooth radio' was playing on the tv - top marks for this Dakota, we loved it!

1. The restaurant - design/layout, service and food were all to the highest of standards. 2. Free parking always a bonus. 1. The room was a bit stark. While modern and clean, I felt it was a bit unwelcoming. 2. No bath - a big disappointment. 3. Didn't appreciate our bill being wrong (drinks we never consumed were on our bill). accountcharginvleBeing

The staff are exceptionally polite and professional. All the way from the front desk through to the bar, the restaurant, to the waiter who looks after you at breakfast.

Stylish, with a friendly staff. Hotel is somewhat isolated, and unless you are planning on walking across the Forth Road Bridge ( which I did) you need to drive everywhere

design, interior, grill bar, proximity to big Tesco store, airport shuttle pick up Location - quite remote, takes at least 50 min by bus to reach Edinburgh center. Perhaps not an issue if travelling by car or not going to Edinburgh frequently. Also, no airport pick up service on weekends.

Staff are friendly enough without being overpowering. Good location , decor reasonably fresh , clean room and adjustable heating/cooling controls. The overall design of the interior. Very epensive for drinks,,,,,almost £8 for a cola and a small glass of white chardonay wine. No bathrobes , the free wi-fi did not work in the bedroom. Only seemed to work in the reception area poor television choice.......freeview only. They should invest in full sky package.

The staff were amazing , so friendly, knew exactly what their role was ect, My partner and I booked one of the two suites , there was a very loud banging noise all night , the windows or blinds , possibly the heating creeking very very loudly, our usual location is the le monde, malmasion or tigerlily , we decide to try dakota , we spend two weekends away a month and want the best of commfort, also our steak was rare instead of medium , this put us off , however the friendly staff offered to exchange , we declined , on average we spent over £600 pounds , we are buisness owners ourselves , were disappointed , finally I asked for prosecco on ice for the room on arrival as this is our favourite and were told dakota did not stock prosecco, it was on the wine menu , I have complained in writing and would appreciate a response asap , as we did prefer the comfort , location and surroundings , we stayed in room 508 , elder , hope to here from you soon

The room was lovely very well presented. I got charged for breakfast when I did not even eat breakfast or asked for it. The lady on the desk was apologetic and took the amenity off my charge of stay.

Liked the modern vibe and the good food. Not as close to the airport as I imagined. However you can't have a view of the Forth Bridges and be close to the airport. I'd rather have the view.

As ever the staff are very helpful and friendly. The atmosphere inside the public areas is terrific, with the bar/dining area a real buzz, forming the hub of the hotel. This isn't a hotel to leave when looking for meal options.... the food is very good and the ambiance of the bistro is wonderful. Bedrooms are spacious, clean and quiet. The location is not pretty! Next to Tesco, diners and over-grown vacant lots. But, nearby Queensferry's waterfront is pretty. The rooms are trendy and fun, but ever-so dark. Smart bathrooms are shower-rooms only... no baths. But the showers are awesome.

Room was nicely designed and beds comfy. Shower was great. Free shuttle to airport. Complete lack of heating. Controls of air con hidden in darkest corner and no instructions. Heating didn't work despite three members of staff attempting to find heat. Staff even commented on how cold room was! Ended up with portable heater - hallway still warmer than room. Towel rail not working either so chilly when coming out of shower. No compensation offered for chilly night!! Looking forward to your response to our complaint.
