The free wifi was slow and kept dropping out. You can purchase faster wifi but I think you shouldn't advertise free wifi if that's the case.
The rooms are modern and clean.
Check out was at 11am. We were called at 1055. To see if we were checking out at 11. Which made us think that they wanted us out ASAP. Felt a bit rushed. Apart from that no problems
The hotel is lovely aesthetically. The staff were ok. Rooms were lovely. Well kept. Good parking area. Food was lovely.
beds toooo hard and tooo close together
room good- bathroom great
Meal choice was limited but what was on offer was very nice but a little pricey. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable and the room was very hot due to the towel radiator in the bathroom being on constantly and the air con doing nothing but make a noise.
Very modern surroundings with pleasant staff
Shower was poor, more like a drip that a rain shower, bathroom had been smoked in so not great if your a non smoker
Great modern hotel
Food prices were disgustingly hiigh
Firm bed, bit dark, expensive breakfast
Jazzy interior, free wifi good location.
The bartenders didn't know how to make any cocktails, even though the bar was well stocked. A training course would help dramatically.
The staff was very friendly.
We expected to have a bath in the executive room, and also a fridge. The room was an excellent size and had plenty of room for extra facilities, possibly even a hot tub! The bedding was very soft, however the bed was rock hard.
The room was very clean and looked very stylish! We stayed in an executive room and room service was fantastic very quick and tasty.
Not so much a bad experience as bad timing at breakfast. arrived when there was very little on offer, and what was there was dried up. However i persevered only to find 10 minutes later they had replenished with fresh food!
Hotel atmosphere terrific, evening meal also very nice. I found staff very attentive and the room upmarket and comfortable. Welcom backet was a very nice touch.
The room was very up to date and the bar was trendy
The £25 for the travel cot was abit steep and the hotel did not inform us of this charge prior to our visit.
The hotel was very modern and location was fab.
toilet was dirty and after complaining the reception lady said there was no staff to clean it, but i could change rooms. Worse, i woke in morning with glass in my hand - there was glass in the bed and on the floor
the hooks for clothing on the front of the reception desk
Rooms are dark - even with the lights on! You have to pay for Wi-Fi (which is shocking for a business hotel). Wardrobe was too small to hang a shirt (really!!). My room was cold and took 24 hours to warm up. It's expensive.
Good location for the business park, friendly staff, very comfy bed and a good shower. Less noisy than many hotels I've used. Stylish decent sized rooms.
This dakota is not a patch on your one in edinburgh , we were even wondering if it really was the same company .Paid for an executive room I could see no diffrence from the standard room .Majority off the staff were very unhelpful .As we had'nt booked dinner in advance we were told we couldnt eat in the hotel it was even suggested there was a pizza takeaway outlet not far from us .As a paying guest to be told we couldnt eat in the resturant or bar was laughable. To summarize the hotel is looking tired reception counter is ripped ,cleanliness poor and managment and frendliness off staff shocking could write more but my hand is getting sore . P.s please try dakota edinburgh and you shall see and feel thediffrence you will feel special instead of an outcast .
Stated in the dakota in ediburgh lots of times have always loved the style of the hotel .
Breakfast not to usual standard ( and cold )
The bed was so uncomfortable that we didn't sleep at all! We mentioned it and still got charged the full rate. Hotel got back to us after and gave us a free night with a softer bed so we'll see.
Staff were friendly We had a nice dinner Hotel is quite contempory
Bed very hard, pillows flat and quilt was so thin....wasn't cosy at all!
The decor was lovely
The lift was a little slow and only one working.
We just had a weekend at the Dakota, it has to be one of the best hotels we have stayed in especially for what we paid! Reception was efficient, bar and breakfast staff were very helpful also. We had an executive room which was great, I love the bathroom! The room was so quiet so we slept very well. The hotel and rooms are clean, spacious and modern. When in the area we will not hesitate to stay there again.
Location was a bit difficult to find, although the hotel had made an effort to sign post their position.
Clean, smart, had a comfortable room and bed, tea and coffee facilities, could not fault hotel at all.
Dirty bed sheets
Bar and grill service slow and food overcooked
Lovely room and shower
Only thing we did not enjoy was our nights sleep, we found the bed very uncomfortable & didn't sleep ever well at all, this would be my only complaint!
Excellent hotel, staff were lovely & the food was fabulous!
