The hotel is decorated in a modern style, but in keeping with the Georgian period property. There are 3 acres of mature gardens to be enjoyed in the summer and open fires and candle light for the winter.

Room information

All of the 12 rooms at Dale Lodge have been individually designed, decorated and furnished. They all have en suite bathrooms/shower rooms, flat-screen TVs, direct dial telephones, tea/coffee making facilities and Molton Brown toiletries. The deluxe rooms also have a seating area and extra fluffy dressing gowns and slippers.

Area information

The hotel is at the centre of Grasmere village, around 4 miles from the market town of Ambleside. Grasmere is a quiet and peaceful village, with only a handful of shops, a couple of village pubs, a post office and a number of surprisingly good places to eat. This is a great place to unwind and get away from it all.

Travel information

By Car
Take the A591 towards Grasmere. Follow signs for Ambleside (if travelling from the south, you pass through Ambleside). After passing the 30 mph speed limit sign follow sign for Grasmere. Follow the road for 400 yards until it bends sharply to the left and the sharply to the right. The entrance to the Dale Lodge Hotel is immediately on your right.

By Rail
West Coast main line station is Oxenholme. Shuttle train to Windermere. Take the 555 or 599 bus to Grasmere, or by Taxi.
