Friendly reception staff and excellent room. The breakfast was terrible and a very poor advert for the kitchen - I wouldn't chance lunch or dinner based on that experience.

I was woken by a fire alarm at 4.20am, the hotel meade no effort to advise its guests that this was a faulse alarm. I cannot believe that they left guests wondering if it was real situation until I checked out at 7.30am feeling tired from lack of sleep. No apology until I brought it up at check out. Poor customer service! No effort was made or to convince me to stay again in the future.

I was travelling on business in the local area. The room I was allocated overlooked the golf course, was very spacious indeed, with a beautiful modern bathroom with both a bath and seperate shower cubicle. The bed and bedding were extremely comfortable. The flatscreen tv, wifi in room (free with voucher), sofa and general space were great additions. The bathroom was well equipped with towels, premium toiletries and face flannels (lacking in many hotels). I used the pool - again spotless, and pleasantly warm, and ate from the restaurant menu in the bar area. Restaurant food beautifully served - bar food good plates of staple foods. All looked good. All the staff were very friendly, especially the lady who checked me in on reception, and Tom, who kindly scraped the ice off my car in the morning! Absolutely nothing to dislike....

I stayed in a suite overlooking the golf course and had a great room. The room was quiet and peaceful which was a refreshing change from other hotels. Breakfast was top class with very prompt service. Only negative was that I only had time to stay one night!

The staff were generally innatentive. Waiting fro over 3 minutes just to be seated for breakfast is not good. Staff did not clear plates Etc, nor did they notice that customers were tying to gain their attention. its the first time we have ever been asked at dinner who wanted to be served the wine first, and then the glass was filled without being given the chance to taste the wine. Staff were generally lacking customer service skills.

This was a faily last minute booking and turned out to be an excellent choice. The hotel was fairly quiet despite being a golf complex, however we cannot speak highly enough of the service we received from the excellent friendly smiling members of staff, Food was also really good sevied in the beautiful dining room overlooking the 18th green. Car needed if you want to go anywhere else out of the complex It did not worry us but it should be rmebered that this is a golf complex and not a cosy intimate country style hotel, Nevertheless very good

We could not fault the accomodation and food, but the waiting staff were inconsistent with their service. We had to look for them on a couple of occassions and felt this was unacceptable seeing as it was such a lovely hotel otherwise. The fact it was a quiet weekend within the hotel I would of thought we would get a better service!!!!

The reception staff were wonderful and our room, even though only a normal double one, was large and airy with a balcony overlooking the golf course. Breakfast. If you prefer continental breakfast you're in trouble as there is hardly anything but cooked english. And for the two days we were there there was a severe lack of eggs and I didn't manage to get any. The girl who shows you in to your table was not very friendly and we were left with cold toast and no milk for coffee and nobody to ask as there was a lack of staff in the actual room. Generally though, it was not the end of the world even though the egg issue did get me grumpy. It's a nice hotel.

When I stayed at this hotel it was very quiet. The hotel was like an oasis; very calm, peaceful and very helpful staff. The room was very clean. I stay in many hotels which over-promise and under-deliver but this hotel was a the opposite. The breakfast service was a little slow, but, as mentioned, it was a very quiet time, so not surprising that the waitress had poppe doff to attend to something else.

I had a meeting in Ticehurst and the hotel was well located to the village. It was quiet, the room was large and well furnished. The breakfast was excellent. The whole stay was very good value for money.
