Breakfast not included... We were told upon arrival that if we'd booked directly thru the hotel website breakfast would have been included. Very petty. Seems like a very greedy set up, which was disappointing. When we booked out the hotel also overcharged for the room, which was rectified once I pointed it out. Not particularly happy about this!

The country house itself is beautiful with lots of features. The food was amazing and the staff very attentive. We took our dog who was warmly welcomed - we were in a garden rom with door to the garden wih decking and views. The dales also do wonderful cream teas.

Beautiful location, room opened onto garden and woods perfect for our dog. Food was excellent and staff helpful and friendly.

The duvet was a little to thick for the time of the year (minor detail and not one which would deter me!!)

Particularly liked the professional but friendly service of the staff; they and the excellent food and fine quality of the hotel made our holiday very enjoyable.

Excellent location

Not quite up to the mark as far as food was concerned. Tried hard.

comfy,quaint,old school atmosphere.The staff were very attentative and obliging.The food was excellent,plenty of choice for all meals. The rooms were clean and everything worked.The location was good ,ideal for a quiet break but if you wanted more ,Sherringham,was only 2 mins away by car,and a good 30 mins walk.Weather permitting the gardens were ideal, for a quiet walk or a relaxing after meal drink.Overall an impressive hotel which I can recommend.

The room we were allocated was directly over the kitchens and at night was blighted with the noise of the cooling fans,which ran continuously and kept us awake.After complaining ,Rachael(reception) facilitated our move to another room with due diligence and apologies.This soured our stay ,as at these prices I wouldn't have expected to put up with that kind of interruption.Perhaps the fan could be rerouted or changed to another type with quieter running bearings.

We liked the location

1. The bed canapy had nt been dusted for some time 2. Some staff were courteous and professional others would appear to be undergoing training. 3. My wife and I, as senior managers, were looking for a location in which to hold next years AGM. 4. My wife was virtually ignored at reception. 5. The establishment is advertised as 4 star. It charges 4 star rates but in our view of our experience it would be better classified as 2.5 to 3

The Hotel has been tastefully refurbished and is in beautiful grounds. We had a great room with a balcony overlooking the gardens. The Hotel has a relaxed atmosphere, excellent staff, and the food was to a very high standard. We shall definitely return and recommend the Dales for a relaxing break.

The staff were really friendly and helpful at all times of the day and it was a very relaxing place to stay. I would highly reccommend this hotel as an oasis of peace and quiet.

The setting, the lovely garden, comfortable lounge, beautiful dining room, excellent food, friendly and helpful staff.

Nice hotel staff and food as noted in the questionnaire I filled inand left. But duvet was too heavy for July, rather stingey to have only one small soap bar and no bath salts.

The hotel was absolutely stunning inside and out,the staff were so friendly and helpfully.The food was amazing and grounds were out of this world!!!
