Breakfast was very delicious and the staff really friendly.
The accommodation was quote cold and basic.
The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast lived up to our expectation. The house was interesting in itself.Once being a hospitable, dating from 1905.a certain amount of equipment survive, being put on view to the public.
Nothing spring to mind. Everything was perfect. To be recommended.
cobwebs in dining room and bedroom, silly water heater that would not fit under cold water tap when I wanted to make a cup of coffee in bedroom.
The breakfast selection
Loved this place! Ok its not a plush 5* star wannabe but it doesn't pretend to be, it is a good honest comfortable digs with a smashing brekkie at reasonable price where i felt as if i was right at home, myself and the family only stopped one night but would loved to have stayed more and if you are like me and like spooky old places then this is ideal as it was originally a hospital for scarlet fever! The staff are warm and friendly and will help in any way they can or will leave you to your own devices if that is what you wish for. Also perfectly located for the yorkshire dates.
Quietness in the house Good Location Rooms were Clean
But overpriced for a B & B
The beds were very comfy
Breakfast fried in dirty oil.
friendly staff,good breakfast
very shabby needs an uplift,no shower gel in bathrooms,i would say restricted facilities for £133 a night
Food delicious, staff very friendly
The service from the staff on arrival and at breakfast was very good and the location overlooking the fields was pleasant.
The facilities in the room were very poor for the cost involved. The reception on the tv was hit and miss the clock radio had no reception and the shower room whilst clean was very tired looking. Overall I was expecting a lot more for the price paid.
Lovely place. Fantastic staff. Beutiful area. Perfect place for exploring North Yorkshire and even Lake District.
The staff were lovely and welcoming and the house was homely.
The bathroom needed some TLC for the dripping tap and also maybe a better pressure shower.
Remote location, lack of welcome (nobody around), told where the kitchen was so that i could help myself to breakfast! Room was damp & cold I had to sleep fully clothed. No soap in the bathroom and the toilet wasn't very clean. Bed linen was clean but the bed spread was covered in stains, bed felt damp. TV didn't work properly. The only reason I stayed is because I'd paid upfront and it was too late to find alternative accommodation. I am annoyed at what i was charged for such a poor hotel, I wouldn't have paid £ 10.00 to stay there never mind the £ 63.00 I was charged. Disgusting.
the couple running it
it was absolutely freezing. It was warmer outside the property!
Very comfortable the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The location was very good for walkers and for visiting the ingleborough caves
To our dismay we found that the bar was closed for the winter season, which meant we had to taxi to a nearby village for a drink. The price was a little high for the facilities provided. £60 would have been more the right price for our double room
Friendly; helpful; budget outdoor centre.
Took a while to get the heating on and then up to temperature.
