The breakfast selection
Loved this place! Ok its not a plush 5* star wannabe but it doesn't pretend to be, it is a good honest comfortable digs with a smashing brekkie at reasonable price where i felt as if i was right at home, myself and the family only stopped one night but would loved to have stayed more and if you are like me and like spooky old places then this is ideal as it was originally a hospital for scarlet fever! The staff are warm and friendly and will help in any way they can or will leave you to your own devices if that is what you wish for. Also perfectly located for the yorkshire dates.
Quietness in the house Good Location Rooms were Clean
But overpriced for a B & B
The beds were very comfy
Breakfast fried in dirty oil.
friendly staff,good breakfast
very shabby needs an uplift,no shower gel in bathrooms,i would say restricted facilities for £133 a night
Food delicious, staff very friendly
The service from the staff on arrival and at breakfast was very good and the location overlooking the fields was pleasant.
The facilities in the room were very poor for the cost involved. The reception on the tv was hit and miss the clock radio had no reception and the shower room whilst clean was very tired looking. Overall I was expecting a lot more for the price paid.
Lovely place. Fantastic staff. Beutiful area. Perfect place for exploring North Yorkshire and even Lake District.
The staff were lovely and welcoming and the house was homely.
The bathroom needed some TLC for the dripping tap and also maybe a better pressure shower.
Remote location, lack of welcome (nobody around), told where the kitchen was so that i could help myself to breakfast! Room was damp & cold I had to sleep fully clothed. No soap in the bathroom and the toilet wasn't very clean. Bed linen was clean but the bed spread was covered in stains, bed felt damp. TV didn't work properly. The only reason I stayed is because I'd paid upfront and it was too late to find alternative accommodation. I am annoyed at what i was charged for such a poor hotel, I wouldn't have paid £ 10.00 to stay there never mind the £ 63.00 I was charged. Disgusting.
the couple running it
it was absolutely freezing. It was warmer outside the property!
Very comfortable the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The location was very good for walkers and for visiting the ingleborough caves
To our dismay we found that the bar was closed for the winter season, which meant we had to taxi to a nearby village for a drink. The price was a little high for the facilities provided. £60 would have been more the right price for our double room
Friendly; helpful; budget outdoor centre.
Took a while to get the heating on and then up to temperature.
room comfortable and clean. staff very helpful.
The staff(kim and ryan) were very friendly and attentive and obviously work very hard to run efficiently. Also very knowledgeable re local area and so saved us lots of valuable time lookingup where to go. B and B is ideally situated for exploring dales and lake district.
staff very friendly, quite location
run down, poor decor, dirty in places needs updating.
Needs a lot of TLC
good location: convenient for main road but close to several pretty Dales villages. Staff very friendly. Good breakfast.
Room didn't feel very clean. Mostly this was down to lots of cobwebs etc outside but all around the windows; not actually in the room but left a poor impression. In-room TV didn't work well - needed new co-ax cable to connect to wall socket
Staff extremely polite and helpful , nothing was too much trouble for them at all
Disappointed that staff did not check rooms on a daily basis to empty bins and re stock tea coffe etc we had to go out and buy milk
The staff were very helpful. Very good breakfast.
Interior would benefit from re-decoration.
The location is ideal for visiting the dales. The staff are friendly and helpful
No Bar during week days only at weekends
Location Ease of booking Comfortable, well equipped room. Excellent en suite shower room.
Youth hostel feel, so I thought a bit over priced. No hair dryer Fire alarm at 1.40am: a bit of an unfortunate night time evacuation! No breakfast served at 6am so they left cereal and toast out - I cooked myself an egg but there was only one - i could have done with a bit more food ideally, as I went from there to walk the 3 Yorkshire Peaks.
